COVID-19 Prep Tips

This is an unpleasant event unfolding by chance or design. Whichever is irrelevant at the moment. Things cannot remain unchanged no matter how much we would like it. With that in mind I would suggest the following to our dear leaders.


Immediately close all public meetings, schools, churches, theaters, restaurants, concerts, business seminars, sports events, airports, train and bus stations, every "gathering" event. Close quarter contacts must be eliminated.

Suspend elections. We don't need politicians traveling the country with their "crew" spreading disease. Freeze every political office as is until the crisis is hopefully over. If a politician dies or becomes incapacitated, he or she is replaced by his party so no one gets an advantage by death. I know, not pleasant, but then neither is dying.

Suspend debts, mortgages, private business. No one should profit from death of the planet.

Get your heads facing reality instead of hopes and wishes. Crying can be done after the situation is over. We have to think and plan, not emote.

All non-essential travel must be suspended. Politicians assemble and work by computer conference, no actual meeting. Congress can sit idle as a reminder of what was and what is. Politicians can become workers again rather than narcissists.

Doing these things won't be easy. The governments have to decide how to use natural resources to feed their people rather than bicker among themselves and fight wars between countries.

There is more, but hopefully you get the idea. Survival of the species should supersede profit, politics, school. Rich or poor, real or imagined, this event should hurt everyone, not profit anyone. We now live separately or die together.
