Be that as it may, the Surgeon General’s tweet is telling regular Americans not to buy masks because they don’t work, but in the next breath says the health care workers need them.

So which is it? Do they work or not? And why should I not buy protective masks if I am able? I’m supposed to risk my family’s health because I bought masks before they were sold out? Screw that

Washing your hands, and doing so thoroughly and properly, is way more important than wearing a mask. You have to take off the mask to eat and if you don't wash your hands properly you gonna eat the virus, assuming the virus isn't already in the food put there by the cook not washing her hands properly. Most people are just wasting the masks because they don't seal the edges properly or don't wash their hands properly.

I'm not sure that I've heard of any cases of a "trumptard" refusing quarantine and holding CDC at gunpoint. However, it sure is a nice spin.

Of course they work. But not 100%, and you have to know how to fit-test them properly to get the max effectiveness.

If you really care about them, it's better to keep your family the hell out of public life should the situation arise that masks become necessary. If my child was still young and dependent on me NO WAY IN HELL would I let them walk around in a society that needs to wear masks.
