Suspended at least till April 12. This is the MU flagship campus in Columbia, MO. Rolla, MO has cancelled St. Pats Day parade. Rolla is home to University of MO-Rolla, their Engineering School.

Just so you all know. I am a prepper/camper and have been prepared for something like this a long time. So if you see me trolling the “just a flu” threads, it doesn’t mean I am not paying attention or think this flu could not be crippling. I do.

But I do refuse to worry and get into all the hype. I hate the cities and that is why I moved here last year. And yes, I will not go to St. Louis or Springfield ever. I do wish you there all the best luck though. But large cities are shitholes, all of them. I just do not need that much I guess though.

So, KC has now cancelled the St Patrick Day parade. I live about an hour and half from there in a sleepy little out of the way town of 1500. I'm expecting a package in the mail today so I thought I'd get a bottle of lysol to spray it with just in case because god only knows where it came from or even through for that matter. We have a DG here in town. There were about 20 shoppers (highly unusual for 8am on a thursday), they were asking about hand sanitizer. They're out, they still had tp but the shelves were about 3/4 empty, no rubbing alcohol, half out of peroxide, bleach all gone exept for half a dozen or so small bottles of the scented stuff, large bottles of ibuprofen and tylenol gone, bottled water gone. As I was leaving, some people came in who had just come from the closest walmart (20 miles away) and they were a little stressed looking saying walmart is out of everything and the lady at the counter told her "We still have tp and paper towels but they're going fast". Anyway, just a first hand account from a place I never thought I'd see this stuff (main reason I live here actually).

Forgot to say I bought the last 2 cans of lysol in the store and the last big bottle of cheap ibuprofen. Funny how I was only going to get 1 lysol, but seeing them completely out of things made me buy 2 and the ibuprofen since they were the last ones. Now I feel a little guilty.
