Thats my point though i dont believe this virus is what their saying it is, when we were in milan we literally watched the media only take pictures and interview people wearing masks just to spread fear!

we used public transport every day and there is nothing wrong with us its now been a week!

You can still have it unknowingly due to the incubation period and be spreading it around. OP, I hope you and your family don’t have it. Maybe update this thread in two weeks time?

I live in Tenerife, about 10 minutes away from the hotel with the infected Doctor and his wife.

Things are getting a bit serious here with this virus and the news outlets seem to be underplaying it. The 2 Tenerife cases as reported over the news recently - The Italian doctor, his wife, is actually 8 in total, not 2, tested positive for Coronavirus. Turns out they knew before arriving here on the 17th they were showing symptoms but decided to still come on holiday. They have not just stayed in their hotel before being quarantined, they went out, used cabs, went to shops, bars, restaurants etc knowing they had symptoms. What absolute, inconsiderate arseholes.

So the Canarian health authorities are very worried and very pissed off that the Canarian government are trying to hide this and that this could be spread everywhere being a small island with 100's of thousands of tourists each week and not knowing what the incubation period is, we could get a sudden influx of infected patients. Schools are now looking at closing all because one idiot doctor decided to ignore, ironically, what his own profession is telling everyone else to do.

Not only that, but the Hotel that is on lockdown has 1000 guests and usually 200 staff to serve them. There is only 16 staff their now, who can't leave but have to service all these people. I know 2 of the ones who were able to leave and they said the police have orders to shoot anyone trying to leave without permission.

Also, there is a huge Italian community here who frequently travel to and from Italy.

OP, it's pretty cavalier of you to think a week is long enough to call BS on everything when it is clear that incubation is up to at least 28 days. Usually people begin shedding the virus while being asymptomatic in 5 days from exposure.

I hope that you don't become ill, but if you do, your attitude may be responsible for killing other people.

the comments seem to ignore that the media are only interviewing people wearing masks they also reported that everyone on the underground was wearing masks and pretty much empty yet i have pictures of no one wearing masks and the train quite busy the same with reports of the supermarkets being empty again all bs. its easy to si in your house and believe everything you hear but its another to see it with your own eyes!
