Ecologist says bee population threatened by locusts spraying
[link to www.nation.co.ke (secure)]

Kenya is spraying the locust swarms so the locust won't eat all their food. But that means they're also spraying the bees, earthworms and other insects, killing them, thus making it much more difficult to grow food in the future. It's looking more and more like famine is on the way - especially if other countries are doing this as well.

From the first link:

"Locust swarms can fly up to 150 km (90 miles) a day with the wind, and adult insects can consume roughly their own weight in fresh food per day."

"Agriculture in China had a difficult year in 2019, hit by the crop-gobbling fall armyworms which spread across a million hectares of farmland, as well as African swine fever that halved the country’s herd of 440 million pigs through preventive culling.
...
Desert locusts are one of the world’s oldest and most destructive pests, causing damage to crops, pasture, and bark. According to the United Nations, a swarm measuring a square kilometre can consume as much food in a day as 35,000 people."

"A desert locust swarm can be 460 square miles in size and pack between 40 and 80 million locusts into less than half a square mile. Each locust can eat its weight in plants each day, so a swarm of such size would eat 423 million pounds of plants every day."

Not going to link to articles, but China is apparently NOT considering releasing 100k ducks into the swarms, as was reported last week.

I'm glad the US doesn't have locusts anymore. I hope that swarm can't make it over here. A couple of big swarms and California's Central Valley could be consumed in a matter of weeks.

Kenya says their problems should be resolved by JUNE (and that's probably wishful thinking). Also, they're saying another wave might emerge, due to the locusts laying eggs.

I flew threw a swarm of something here in florida. It lasted 2 seconds but hard noises as they hit against car not like silent love bugs. I have never experienced that but surely we wouldnt have small batches of the locust?

A few years ago I was driving through Texas. I stopped at a motel along the road to get some rest, and there were locust everywhere. They were even hopping into the room when I opened the door.

Happens every year....just really extreme this year.

Some locust history, when they would swarm in the US (extinct in 1902):
[link to www.farmprogress.com (secure)]

Also, the answer from Google/wiki is that there are no native locusts in the US - not since 1902 (then another, different type in 1930's). However, I've heard otherwise. It's just that the locusts we have don't swarm.(?)

"North America is currently the only continent besides Antarctica without a native locust species. The Rocky Mountain locust was formerly one of the most significant insect pests there, but it became extinct in 1902. In the 1930s, during the Dust Bowl, a second species of North American locust, the High Plains locust (Dissosteira longipennis) reached plague proportions in the American Midwest. Today, the High Plains locust is a rare species, leaving North America with no regularly swarming locusts."

This civilization has got to be the worst prepared and most embarassing in the history of Earth if not the Universe. Locusts in 2020... is this the future you imagined. Fucking doomed countries and their people unable to prevent insects from eating their food. How fucking hard can it be? Two airplanes with fucking nets strung across them to catch the fucking insects.

Very good idea. I recommend everyone buy a Bible and a Strong's Concordance to help with researching the Bible. Then get as complete a list as possible for all prophetic verses. Oh, and if you aren't a Christian ( accepted Jesus as savior and accepted his intercession for your sins and then confessed to others that you have become a Christian ), I would start looking into that if I were you. Just a warning though: there are many, many churches and there are various sections of the Bible that they interpret differently. If you're looking for a pastor to learn from online, find one that knows Greek and Hebrew and focuses on end times stuff.

GLP, could you link this member to a good pastor who regularly uploads sermons/teachings to YouTube?
