A very close friend of mine who I’ve never known to be a prankster or a bs’er told me about 2 patients who tested positive, but were released to go home and self-isolate. I thought everyone who tested positive was being quarantined. My friend is an RN in an ER at a hospital in Toronto, btw. Quoting: IamSawyer [link to imgur.com (secure)] this is common knowledge. Only the ones who came in from the China flight were being physically quarantined at specific airforce bases. Everyone else will self-isolate unless they require critical care. |

Yes they want to keep the infections out of the hospitals. Hospitals in China were over run and their medical staff all got sick and the outbreak over ran WuHan. This is a likely scenario here in the US, but they want to mitigate it as much as possible in the early phases. |
