This is apparently because I am like the matrix itself and if I am reduced to a contestant or candidate than my threats are as hollow as theirs. But if there is separation between myself and the winner (even if it is myself), and I am still the matrix even if I lose, then you better do what I say if I tell you that scott can win legitimately.
