Does anyone know whether the N-cov can be spread through water treatment facilities or water supplies?

I'm wondering if at some point...even with the water running...if you need to disinfect your water before you use it?
Quoting: NikM755 Systems which disinfect, which most do, including all surface water supplies, must achieve a 3 to 4-log (99.9-99.99%) viral inactivation, which include the more resilient cysts like cryptosporidium. Between chemical or membrane treatment and disinfection, suffice it to say that public water should remain safe. Quoting: Krakalakin Thanks, I asked my local water company and they said they just use ash. Not sure what that means, any idea?
