Yes, when I was a kid. He would walk by my window, stop as if to briefly show he knew I was in there and keep walking by. Not sure if it was a derby or fedora hat but he had it and a trench coat.

Only time I’ve seen shadow figures is on high doses of Diphenhydramine which is a Deliriant in high doses, none of them were Hat Man though from what I recall...

If you don’t have a tolerance you should be able to see them with at least 300mg. I wouldn’t recommend it as the body load can be uncomfortable or if you fear spiders. As low as 200mg is when you start seeing translucent spiders everywhere, you can even feel them crawl on you...

I had one of the shadow man experiences when I took too much cough syrup with Dextromethorphan... I woke up to the walls melting and the shadow man standing over me.

When my wife and I were first married, she swears she saw a 'black figure standing over our bed looking down on us'. He was wearing a ball-cap, though, not a fedora or a top hat-not sure it makes any difference. This was back in the early '90's and she still talks about it and I don't doubt what she saw.

Re: Has anyone ever experienced the "Hat Man"? A Dark Shadowy Image of a Man who Appears while you sleep?
I saw a dark figure of a man once with glowing eyes.

I was only 16 at the time and was sleeping with my boyfriends house at the time. I woke to something scratching my feet, I was half asleep when I tried to kick my feet and the scratch got harder. I jumped up in bed wide awake after about 10 minutes of this. A dark black figure, really tall and muscular build but no feature just black. I scanned his body as he just stood there at the end of the bed. As I scanned from bottom up I noticed he had white huge oval shaped glowing eyes. I jumped back under the duvet and punched my boyfriend at the time. He woke up startled and told him to look. We both peered over the blanket to find him still stood there staring at me.
I looked right into the white glow of his eyes and he was communicating with me telepathically, saying to be calm and that he was no threat. I was to be activated. My whole body was shaking but I knew I was safe. We jumped back under the duvet and he disappeared. My ex boyfriend refused to sleep in there again and refused to talk about it.

I did. In broad daylight, on a busy street. It was blacker than black, I only saw an outline. At least 7 foot tall. It walked like a man. I knew I was seeing something I shouldn't see, so I went into "witness mode" trying to notice all details. Lasted 2 - 3 seconds... long enough. Went behind a truck, didn't emerge on the other side.

Full blown Hatman on a sunny day. Tall grass, shorty pine rows. Look up to the end of the pines about 20 ft away and there he is. Wide brimmed black hat, his long black cape billowing in the wind. No facial features even in full sunlight. I was so startled I backed up and tripped and tumbled onto my backside. When I looked up a second later there was a big black cow looking back at me.

The "Hat man" as you call him, also referred to as the gray man or tall man. He is usually accompanied by the "old hag" during sleep paralysis or other similar events. He is usually motionless along the wall, or tends to teleport to other spots around your room when you take your gaze off of him. He is a watcher that tends to the near astral plane. This middle plane is where the old hag and him tend to observe people prior to OBE's. Ive never had them touch me, only observe.

yes, as a child in the mid 70s. woke up in the middle of the night n saw him standing in the living room, just a solid black figure of a man wearing a hat, pretty much identical to the man in the video, was almost paralyzed with fear, too afraid too scream, pulled the cover up over my head n eventually went back to sleep, never mentioned it to anyone until I was in my teens n no one believed me

Re: Has anyone ever experienced the "Hat Man"? A Dark Shadowy Image of a Man who Appears while you sleep?
The year was 1973, I was ten years old. I had a babysitter this night and she sent me to bed early at around 8:30 and I did not want to go to bed yet as it was still light out and it was not even dark in my room yet.

I got into bed and had just closed my eyes for just a second and when I reopened them there he was in great detail not shadowy just as though a real person standing at the end of my bed just staring straight at me.

I quickly blinked my eyes a couple of times but he was still there and it was then that I started screaming hysterically. As I was screaming he slowly dissipated right before my eyes. The babysitter came running in and she did not believe me as I was a rambunctious boy and was well prone to throwing antics so as to not have to go to bed early. I told her and then argued with her and then pleaded with her to no avail to let me sleep somewhere else but she would have none of it, she did not believe me and she made me stay in the room. I was absolutely terrified !

The man I saw was wearing a black wide brimmed flat topped cowboy type hat and his coat was a black rain slicker western style coat. He looked like he just walked off the set of some cowboy western movie. He also looked as though he had been in the rain for a bit. I saw his face, he had a very stern look with black piercing eyes and a close cut black beard.

There was absolutely no sleep paralysis involved. I was wide awake and totally cognizant. The whole ordeal from the time I got into bed and seeing him dissipating before my eyes was less than a minute.

I have experienced just about every paranormal type of experience one could possibly have and many of them have included witnesses, including - Sleep paralysis with a mantis creature. UFO's, Close encounters. Men in black, Angels, Demons etc.

I know what I saw.

Lumberg, every place I have lived is the most haunted place one can imagine. Some of us are beacons and the light within draws them to us. That isn't a statement that I am better than anyone, it is simply the world some of us live in. We are visible to the dead, the never human, and they come to us and we interact with them.

Sometimes it frightens even us what we can see.
