Has anyone ever experienced the "Hat Man"? A Dark Shadowy Image of a Man who Appears while you sleep?

Not a hat man per se... but have had a very black evil thing come into my room and woke me up from sleeping. I started praying and watched it go to a corner in the room and crawl up the ceiling then disappear. Our house was built in 1917 and at one point during a hurricane was used as a temporary morgue.

used to call him the 'maroon-man' when i was little because that's what color his hat always was.

The first time it happened was an interesting story I guess:

my parents went to this event in an old building that supposedly had a fire where some children were burned. I refused to go in the room because the floor looked burnt. The kids got babysat by a tv in an adjoining room. i fell asleep. next thing i knew, I was being chased through traffic, about ten blocks away, by a Pakistani man who noticed me wander off. (sleepwalking? i never did it before or after...) anyway, I got really sick that night and was sick for weeks, locked in a fever dream where the maroon man gave me a tour of ... well lets just say I have seen EVERY form of genitalia belonging to EVERY species of life on every planet in the universe. Be glad we we have dicks and pussies and not spiked tentacles.

The maroon mans voice was the worst part. It is the cruelest sound you can imagine. Sometimes the dream would turn into a gameshow where I won prizes like a lambo that would sprout knives and the knive would grow knives until there was no car left, just giant rusty knives.

Yes he walked in my parents room when I was young. I was sleeping between them. He knew I was awake and just stared at me and turned and left. I never forgot it and I’m in my 50s now.

Easter morning, I was eight, sister 4. She was screaming "There's a man in my room!"

My room was closest to hers, I bounded in, in the East Facing window (Where the SUN CAME IN) - Was this dark shadow of an older man it seemed, with some type of hat or hood?

It seemed to be facing OUT the window, but turned quickly as I came in ...

As it did, it began to dissipate, as fog does in the shower?

I get goosebumps just writing about it.

Have had a few more interactions too - and a family member (young) - who had to seek counseling for seeing "Shadow Man."

I have waited nearly 10 years to find someone who can return to the same dreams too. I did it three times and nearly a fourth. I started to awaken fast.

got a buddy who tells that damn "hat man" story of his everytime we do a round of "craziest thing youve ever seen" around the campfire.
my watching a "UFO" land at a dairy farm up clsoe beats his silly story everytime.

seen something akin to it more than once in my life, always refered to it as stranger danger. i kinda blame the DARE program and neighborhood watch signs for the name tho

The wife and I were laying in bed and had the bedroom window cracked open to smell the fresh rain at 5am. Still dark outside.

The wife and I were talking when all of a sudden we heard wet footsteps getting closer amd closer to our window. Then the footsteps stopped and hat man looked down at me from the window. The wife didn't see him, but she heard it walking closer to our window. I got my gun and turned around and the bastard was gone.

I've met the men in black, they were twins, tall men dressed in black with black hats on

One of them took my hand and looked at my palm and told me a few things that would happen in the future, he also told me that I have a good heart

Saw something very similar at the foot of my bed three days after my brother died.

I think they are kind of like a police force of some sort, sometimes when people notice things from strange angles, like small elves that live in city blocks, at angles that people can't usually notice, they would appear to keep things quiet, because humans are kind of still violent for the most part

I actually have. It's evil. You see it if you are involved in the occult and other sinful behaviors. It took a while to dump those demons after getting saved by Jesus Christ.

Had him show up in my bedroom a few nights after my neighbors in Vegas did a murder / suicide on each other. A nice young Korean couple. She killed him and then killed herself. There was darkness in the air for weeks before that happened. I was laying in bed facing the middle of the bed and caught him out of the corner of my eye when I was rolling over. I I immediately jumped up and started swinging. My wife wakes up and asks what I'm swinging at. I explain to her that I caught a shadow standing beside my bed.

I grew up in a super dark part of KC Kansas that had every type of evil preying on people. Know God and Jesus and be ready to fight. It may not run off the people that are acting evil, but it will chase the evil away, and then you are just dealing with a scared person. Fear nothing but God and always fear God. That is who we are made to be.

When I was 6-7 he was running at me from across a field. His coattails were flapping, but I woke up from my nightmare before he came too close.
I still see him clearly in my mind 60 years later.

Never seen the hat man, but The Hag has paid me a visit. Never want to experience that again.

I actually met a person like this at work a few years ago, only instead of a hat with a brim he wore a baseball cap. He asked me on several occasions if I was afraid of him. I saw him one day a few months ago after I quit during the day when he should have been at his shift. It was scary.

Yes, 3x, over a period of 1.5 yrs with the last visit being the worst about 2 years ago. Had a feeling of complete terror on the third time. I was on my back sleeping and was screaming and my husband couldn’t wake me up.
I finally woke, and was petrified for hours afterwards. Thank God it’s never happened again, although now we live in a different house and it has a feeling of better energy.

The other two visits included me waking bc I felt something looking at me at end of bed and I sprung to sit up. And the second time, we was closer, more to the side of the bed looming over me and the third time he was also to the right side of me, but directly looming over my face. I will never forget the feeling of terror and paralysis I experienced and not being able to immediately wake up. Thank God my husband was right there to comfort me when I did wake.
All three times were experienced in our guest bedroom. I would go to sleep in that room bc the ceiling fan worked really well and it was cooler in the room to sleep.
