Well shit now the 1% dropped even further.. See where I'm going with this? Or shall I explain further? Bro, I've heard this many times and I simply disagree. I don't think that is an accurate way to gauge this at all. In the end, the CFR is ALWAYS counted the way I am describing, but in the heat of the outbreak... the way you are doing it is misleading because it makes assumptions. I am using cold hard data that already exists. Next, you will say that there are so many mild cases out there so it will bring the number down even further, but by the same token... there are presumably a proportionate number of severe cases or even dead with unknown causes of severe disease and death because they aren't testing. You can't have it both ways, if there are milder unrecognized cases, then there are surely severe/dead that went undiagnosed as well. Shhhh.. calm down. I'm telling you exactly how to calculate the mortality rate. I'm trying to encourage you to do it right.
