Back when TV series were a big deal, if one was successful, the TV networks would make about five more just like it, thinking they had found the formula for a hit series. Then the others would always fail in the ratings. The political elite think the same way. They think "well, people elected a billionaire DC outsider, so thats the formula!". So the consultants go to people like Bloomberg and tell him he has what it takes, for a half billion or so, they can get him elected. People like Tom Steyer, that goofy billionaire from TX, cuban, bloomberg, all think, "This is the ticket! I'm a billionaire, I'm not from DC, check, check, I can win!' They will never understand because they think of everyone in flyover country as idiots.

I started looking at the comments on Bloomberg's Facebook ads. Some would have hundreds of comments from different people and not a single one was ever positive. Ever.
