Multiple Walmart’s permanently closing in US. Could they become makeshift “flu” hospitals?

Depending on the neighborhood and customer demographics, it maybe due to loss prevention internally and external. Pervasive shoplifting and internal theft will collapse any business. The cost/benefit ratio = close. Just because it is a busy store doesn't mean it is profitable.

Merit warned us about this a long time back. Walmart has certain deals with the gov in the event of an emergency like a pandemic. The buildings themselves are easily outfitted to serve a variety of purposes, and the corporation has the logistics expertise to connect them up. If a busy and profitable location in a strategic place just shuts down out of the blue, that's probably why.

Walmart killed Wadesboro NC Main street and now it closes.
If you live in Wadesboro you still have a choice of Dollar Tree or Dollar General so $1 China Crap can still be found, no worry...Well now that the China factories are closed you may just have a problem.

Haven't they been closing loads of Walmarts with military present the last 2 years and blocking all veiw to the inside of the buildings.
