Yeah, that's the one -- pretty sure it is the only one in holding out our way.

It's not comforting at all to those of us in the Bay Area that yet more high risk folks have been poured into the already hot zone, but my heart goes out to the people who are stuck onboard (poor, trusting, naive souls that they were...)

In part, I do blame the media for downplaying this whole thing to the point that the masses still believe that it is *us* who are being irrational and paranoid, rather than they being lulled into a dangerous stupor. Yes, every man and woman should be assessing these risks for him/herself, but most will choose to trust the voices of so-called authority, especially when that is the more comfortable narrrative.
Looks like freedom but it feels like death. It's something in between I guess... it's closing time.

What sort of tard willingly gets on a cruise ship after the outbreak started? It's people like that we need warning signs about touching the 3rd rail.

They deserve to suffer for being tarded.

Praying hoping etc for everybody somebody cares about,...

The reality is:

Treat these leisure travelers like it is the last time you may see them. They may treat you weird like you are fearmongering but it is the truth. If they are willing to accept the risk instead of certainty then so be it and tell them enjoy their trip in case it is their last. Beg them for legal paperwork you need like power of attorney and permission to treat minors if left in your care.

Right! I know the stupidity of people has no bounds. What could possibly go wrong while cruising through a pandemic? I'm certain OP's In-Laws saw the agony of the passengers on cruise ships in Asia. If one cannot learn through others mistakes then there really is no use for that person.

OP should have warned them. My brother wants to have a wedding the 1st week of April. I told him to push it back for a month but he won't listen. He's being selfish and could care less about the welfare of other family members who may die trying to be nice to him by attending his wedding.

I told him that will be on his head and I'm not going to be in attendance.

Small world, a good friend of mine is also on that cruise. Everything OP says is accurate.

I was able to speak with him on Wednesday and he said they were skipping Mexico and heading back to San Francisco, the boat was moving slowly up the coast.

They are confined to their state rooms as of yesterday afternoon. I will also keep this updated when I hear from him today.

I texted him right after they left Hawaii and told him to fly back and not get back on the boat but it was already at sea in that storm.

What isn't making sense to me is why OP's in-laws were unable to make regular calls, seeing as this ship has 5G.

This video needs a thread of its own, regarding the 5G link. Go figure Princess ships just recently rolled out 5G on their ships. And Wuhan had just rolled out their 5G. And 5G can cause "flu-like symptoms". Hmm...

Someone on another site posted the Sorcha Faal website, about 5G. I admit, it sounded right on target. I haven't seen this site in eons and was thinking to myself, ugh! And didn't want to be catty, so refrained from responding, but it IS worth checking out. It also was about the 45 satellites we have put out in space, under that new Space Force, supposedly countering China, I don't remember the rest. Seriously, it'll make you think twice if nothing else.

I think they just showed a clip on Fox of tests being dropped off from helicopter, I was just walking into the room and saw them hovering over the deck but missed the first part

Message to DeJango:

Your Mom-in-Law just put up a FB Post from the ship:

I have received several text messages from friends and family. I don’t have Verizon service on the ship. Please send messages through Messenger.

Also, the other couple said that the ship is currently circling 50 miles off shore while they wait for test results. (per the Captain)

For some reason, I had a bad feeling about my friends going on the Hawaii cruise, especially after what happened in Japan with the other Princess cruise ship. Plus, a lot of Asians travel to and from Hawaii.

My friend and her husband are retired and they like to travel. Her last two cruises had weather problems. She took a cruise during Hurricane Dorian and the captain had to divert the ship to another location. After that, she took a New England cruise and got caught in a Nor'easter. I told her that from now on, I wouldn't be traveling anywhere that involved water. I suggested a luxury train ride through the Canadian Rockies.

Cruise ships have become like petri dishes. The ships are so big now with so many people, that when something bad happens (like a virus breakout), it can become really difficult to deal with. The Grand Princess is like a small town that will have to be moved to a safe location.

How much is the government spending on these types of infected luxury cruise ships? All of these people that participate in these cruises are well aware of the risks and go anyway. If nothing is done they could be like incubation bombs. May be time to stop them until all is clear.
