Yet another seriously disturbing thing I'm realizing about this virus VS Influenza
Let me explain...

Influenza doesn't attack your kidneys, directly, yet it interferes with them

If you've had a bad flu, you are likely familiar with sore kidneys ( No doubt )

The byproduct of any viral replication ( Destroyed cells ) are toxic to kidney tubules, the " nephron "

The nephron is the microscopic structural and functional unit of the kidney. It is composed of a renal corpuscle and a renal tubule

When cells burst from the viral load, they release this cellular debris into the bloodstream where it ends up clogging your tubules that normally clean your blood

2019-nCov, or whatever they are calling it today, isn't technically a bloodborne pathogen, yet it travels through the blood to the kidneys and encounters the epithelial cells inside the nephron tubules

Those cells express large amounts of ACE2 because they are involved in circulation of blood

So it directly infects the cells in the kidneys, unlike Influenza

So what you have is a combination of clogging with waste the kidneys can't process ( This is called " toxicity " ) plus a direct attack on the cells lining the things that normally filter and process the waste

This is a two-fold effect on the kidneys that has the additional effect of stopping the kidneys from producing EPO

EPO is what keeps your bone marrow producing red blood cells, because without red blood cells, your blood has no Oxygen carrying capacity

This is why the serious patients are anemic and require assisted breathing or membrane oxygenation outside the body

So.....comparing this to the flu is like comparing a kitten to a lion

Good breakdown, you should post a few links or else you'll most likely get dogpiled by the fluther crew.

nah, not worth the effort

I'm finishing a 1/2 hour long video meta-analysis on 100 papers on infectious pathogens, shortly, as well as a complex explanation of the lipid chemistry of micron and sub-micron micelle generation in the alveoli

Going to break it down simply for all those people comparing things

This right here is what the virus both attacks and clogs

yeah, it's really quite an interesting virus, thats for certain

I'm getting the idea that genetically engineered pigs in china were perhaps involved in some sort of recombination in the wild

The M ( membrane ) protein in it, is most closely related ( The homology ) to more pig viruses than anything ( PRRSV, etc )

china's been using genetically engineered pigs since the early 90's, and had to keep developing vaccines because the viruses had to keep evolving to attack the genetically engineered pigs, in turn helping the viruses to become more virulent

..much in the same way bacteria develop resistance to antibiotics

But where they say the horseshoe is the source of the coronavirus

you have to ask, ...what do horseshoe bats eat ?

The eat insects, mainly

and china has ( or had ) vast pig farms.....huge

but we all saw the pig viruses wiping out their pork industry ( and most of of saw the animals being buried and or burned in pits )

so....if you've ever been on a pig farm ( I have ), you know how many bats come out at night because of all the fucking insects coming to feed on the nasty shit you encounter on pig farms

so between bats, insects, pig farms, recombination and vaccines.....it would have made a perfect environment for the virus to evolve naturally....

....except that strange Herpesvirus-8 cancer virus protein (ORF10)that muffles the cellular immune system from putting out the call for help ( the reason for the long asymptomatic periods )

.....that's a weird one to find in a virus that had evolved in an environment with pigs and bats

..............

dunno at this point, it's a very odd virus.....perfect storm

it's the locus of many things that normally are not that bad by themselves

but when combined together.......very bad

very very bad

Man is forever solving the most perplexing problems as he ventures ever further into the unknown. But where are the outer limits of his ingenuity? Will he ever encounter a problem, a Gordian Knot, which he cannot ultimately cut?

OP, do you think high dose vitamin C (or liposomal C) could help kidneys?

Some have recommended it for cytokine storms caused by virus.

Re: Yet another seriously disturbing thing I'm realizing about this virus VS Influenza
It's not viremia ( Bloodborne ), as far as I have seen, so PCR testing of blood samples wouldn't show the presence, since it only takes a few viruses to travel through the blood to the kidneys, and a moderately high viral load is required in a sample for PCR to be effective

2019-nCov is not bloodborne, ( Infecting blood cells ), but exploits the circulatory system, obviously, because the first place viruses are going to end up after an infected cell finally bursts in the lungs is in the nephron tubules of the kidneys ( The waste handlers )

Very good explanation. This is the part that scares me the most about this virus. I was diagnosed with FSGS and so far i was able to keep my kidneys working with strict diet and natural supliments.
The last thing I need is this diabolical lab creation messing my already hard pressed kidneys.

Five stars!

Interaction between cytokines, cannabinoids and the nervous system

[link to www.sciencedirect.com (secure)]

Abstract:

Cytokines play important roles in neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration. The endocannabinoid system (ES) is comprised of the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors, endogenous ligands, and proteins involved in endocannabinoid synthesis and inactivation. The ES participates in the regulation of immune responses in the nervous system. Activation of the cannabinoid system is associated with therapeutic effects that may be mediated by the down-regulation of cytokine expression. Here we review the findings from studies on the reciprocal regulation of the immune and cannabinoid systems, which is based on functional as well as anatomical connections. We then discuss mechanisms involved in the reciprocal regulation of cytokines and the ES.

The way I understand it, it helps the body's immune system to be ready to launch a response, by way of heightened production of something called Interferon alpha/beta ( A cytokine ), so it probably prevents severe Interferon II flood ( the cytokine storm ), Interferon I that normally binds to neighboring cells and starts the exponential growth of the alarm of invasion, is prevented by 2019-nCov

Interferon I binds to Lyphocyte Interferon II and this is when the immune system officially gets the chemical message cells are under attack ( Body's immune response gets the message from the cellular immune response, just two molecules binding )

ascorbic acid will increase lymphocyte production, but there still needs to be a messenger molecule from the infected cells.....and this virus stops them from putting it out

2019-nCov is actually a variable pH virus, and not dependent on specific pH like Influenza is ( Low pH needed to enter cells, this weakens cell membranes ), so varying blood pH with vitamin is likely not going to have an effect on the ability of the virus to gain entry to cells ( Influenza uses a different type of receptor )

so....vitamin C will at least help keep your immune system at the ready

Thank you OP. Good research!

Interleukin 10 and 6 control cytokine storm response. These are in turn controlled by lactobacillus and streptococcus bacteria (probiotics) in the gut. Provetella bacteria that this thing supposedly rises on (found in the large intestine) controls illiciting immune response and resulting in a cytokine storm..which is controlled by il 10 and 6. I dont doubt cell remnants clog up the kidneys and lungs. Most likely in phase 2 (relapse) the heart gets over loaded too which is why they die from a heart attack (phase 2 is not recorded as a death by coronavirus only phase 1). So keeping the body detoxed would be important. Cannabis is an interesting idea. I know that besides keifer most just about all probiotics have been sterilized. Governments really dont like anything that can keep you alive.
