So are you self isolating yet? When will you start? Would you shop late at night when stores are not crowded?

We have been self isolating for over a month now. Finished major prepping on Feb 14th. When we go out now we wear gloves, masks, goggles. We bleach wash all produce for 5-30 minutes depending on what it is, and we wipe all packaged goods with clorox wipes and let dry for 5 minutes before taking inside. We are taking major precautions, but not leaving the house more than once every 2 weeks for basic groceries, gas, propane.

My grocery's get delivered. I leave the cash in the mail box he leaves grocery's on front step.

I leave the house every 2 months to get cash.

I'm debating what to do and not do. It is in all the states that border mine, and an hour north of me supposedly.

I run into local stores for milk and bananas sort of thing, but my major prepping is finished. I dont need to go to movies or malls. I want to go to church tomorrow, but one guy commutes pretty far to a city that has it, and two ladies work at local hospitals in cardiac units, so far no CV patients. I am thinking of going and sitting in the back foyer which has better social distancing.

Hubby is still planning to go to work part of the time for meetings, but not much else....the boss said people can work from home as much as possible. Nice guy.

I really want to do a final run to Trader Joe's. Not sure if that is too risky.

My d.i.l.s both work around people and I babysit, so maybe any attempt to self isolate is futile, and I need to just take my antiviral supplements and not even bother trying to self isolate.

So what about you? Are you self isolating, or thinking about it?

When people stash during a time of plenty, where production and shipping are all fine, that is not hoarding. It is wisdom and prudent foresight. Those of us who got food and supplies long before the virus were not hoarding. It could all be replaced up until China shut down.

Pigging out now, when supply lines are cut, yeah, that could be hoarding. Maybe. If it is the only way to survive though, it is reasonable. 4 months makes sense, 5 years sounds greedy. But I dont know anymore....

I'm ready to isolate myself . i'm over 60 and in and out of nursing homes and hospitals all day. So far no cases near my town. Hospitals and facilities have started checking visitors in One way in. Screening questions are asked and a date sticker is placed on you. *rescreen every day One facility had me sign that I had no symptoms, no travel, etc and their check in person, had to sign as well that I was cleared.

I did this at 5 facilities and hospitals Friday alone.
