Why not an entire global quarantine for 2 weeks?

I don't get it. The virus can seemingly be cured in days with specialist treatment, and doesn't last on certain surfaces more than a few hours to a few days max.

Surely a planned synchronisation in quarantine across the western world for a few weeks, say an entire month, except army, police and medical roles. And if they get it, at least they can be isolated amongst themselves.

At least the medical strain is narrowed to a fixed window of cases as opposed to fighting exponential numbers where it will inevitably get overrun.

Everyone prep to a global deadline. Plan it. Give notice. No panic, just like a Christmas period where you prepare stocks the same way. Amazon could make a killing.

The localised quarantine in countries weeks apart is a waste of time. It takes on person to go back and undo that quarantine period. Whats the point?

Lock the world down for a month. Suffer the economic hit together. Its far better long term than dragging it out over a year with a few weeks per country as it passes. The financial hit and messing up spreads far worse. If everyone is down for the count, nobody is gaining whilst down either. It's like cryogenically freezing yourself whilst a hurricane passes over.

I still can't believe America is sat twiddling its thumbs.
