Do you think all public schools in the United States will be shut down by the end of march? | |

A dying breed for sure and she is so disgusted with the system she wants to give up at times. |

Schools will close when they run out of sanitizer. They can't afford to allow children in unsafe conditions. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76795128 Granted there was no sanitizer when I went to school but now that it's there, going without would be unacceptable Hey, I forgot to mention this my school superintendent sent out an Email saying that the school wouldn't be supplying extra sanitizer. I don't think I'm able to share the email on here being that I refuse to log onto my school computer with my personal email account and they have locked sending emails to non school addresses. I'm not making this up I should have mentioned it before. That sounds about right. Teachers are the ones that buy all the stuff out of pocket. Teachers send home fliers at the beginning of the year and mid semester. Teachers usually ask parent to donate it at the beginning of the years, like line paper, glue, pens markers, face tissues hand sanitizers. Some do... many don't bother. So it is up to the teachers to buy all the extras. Do you really think the school districts care and all those overpaid district superintends… No they don't. Being a teacher sucks. |

Many schools have already gone through what they had and there is no more to be found. |

Quoting: Oxidizer Unless I bug the fuck out first. Haha I think that if you have the option to "bug out" you should. If I could I definitely would at this point. This is not meant as a criticism of your posts but something to think about before bugging out- Bug out to where? If you are in a city are you prepared to rough it in the outdoors? If you bug out to a small rural area will you be accepted? How will you get to your bug out area and what supplies will you be able to take with you? What about family members? Do you have enough money to live without having to work? If you don't have answers to these questions you are probably better off trying to gather as many supplies as possible and staying where you are. If it were truly a world ended virus, we’d have TONS more first hand evidence. The world is too interconnected at this point to hide that kind of thing. Remember all the fake videos of people in China wailing, dying in the streets, etc... why isn’t that happening anywhere else? |

Stfu with that poor teacher shit! Yeah it must suck working 6 months and getting paid for a full year. Every fucking holiday off, full healthcare, and a nice fat pension. And the people that pay for it don't get shit. Fuck you! Your ignorance has no bounds on this topic. Teachers only get paid for the time they are at school, which is 9 1/2 months. They can elect to be paid over 12 months. The pension plan is the same in most states, which corresponds with other government plans. So there is nothing different there. Most teachers are paying $500 for cheap plans with high deductibles to $1000 plans with lower deductibles. Again, nothing different then the ordinary government worker. Teachers also have to attend classes on their own time or go through other programs to keep their credentials updated. This is in addition to having to learn a different educational program the school district decides to change to every 2-3 years. Talk about a waste of money. Teachers also spend many hours a week working at home (without pay) grading work, trying to find ways to challenge gifted students, preparing for the coming days assignments, calling or emailing parents, and trying to take care of their own families. Teachers also try to instruct the children while having to evacuate the class 2 or more times a day as one student begins a temper tantrum and throws chairs or other objects. Some even attack other students or the teacher. This happens more often then you can imagine. Teachers buy snacks and feed the children who obviously don’t get fed at home. They have become a teacher, daycare worker, psychologist, mother figure, and protector. Just because you were a lazy and poor student doesn’t mean it was the teachers. Lookin the mirror first. And, yes, every profession has a few bad apples in the bushel. |
