Connecticut is going to be going that route as well right now no school closings but they are discussing it. They also stated all those who can work from home do it. All meetings have been canceled at my company and the stores are empty pretty much. The nursing home my mom is at is on lock down.

NJ HS are having school board meetings to make a plan for online classes and quarantine procedures......many schools having half day schedule for meetings...

mean while 400k children vanish in America a year? the humane race is doing a way better job at killing people than any virus in history.

There are a LOT of children with risk similar to the elderly. Some children are obese, have limited aerobic capacity (couch potatoes), or have other health issues.

Plus, its the kids who take CV home to their families.

The argument for keeping the schools open is that some parents don't have childcare and will miss work. What do those parents do during the summer vacation now?

It would be better to arrange child care services for critical or impacted employees such as nurses.

I have written to the Governor of my state 4 times over the past 4 weeks asking that the schools be closed.

I understand that this will not stop the epidemic totally. However, we need to SLOW the spread of the disease in order to have time to gather medical resources and adjust our society and economy to the new reality.

Flooding the hospitals and overloading the ICUs will simply increase the damage and death rate.
