From now through the end.of April they are waiving their normal attendance policy. Normally, if you get 5 unexcused absences in a 6 month period, you are fired. If you feel sick or even just do not feel comfortable being at work you can stay home, no consequences. And use your own paid time off that you have built up. If you get the virus they will pay 2 weeks at least, more if needed. And finally, if you are quarantined or your store shuts down, etc, you get 2 weeks pay. Quoting: *<3sugar&spice<3* The problem I see is with them waiving the attendance policy. Basically you can call off whenever now. Stores are going to be so short staffed it is not even funny. Active through the end of March. They are also pledging to give two weeks paid time off to anyone who catches COVID-19 and/or has to be quarantined at any time. |

There are plenty of very nice people working in Walmart Management & lower positions. An incredible amount of work is necessary to keep each store stocked & functional. There is a mocking, slanderous campaign against Walmart that I’ve seen is inaccurate over the last several years. |
