You're wasting your time explaining this. People around here are comparing this virus to deaths in car accidents. Folks will believe whatever makes them comfortable. It is what it is.

Haha yeah because the "freak out its the end croud" are no where to be found ... I dont think its fair to characterize either extreme as paid shills... the main thing shills do it to bolster a narrative through deceptive practice... remaining calm is just as valid as to being prepared.

There really is an argument to be made for somewhere in the middle here... general vigilance , measured discernment and a calm easy demeanor.

You seemed to have missed the point entirely , how much of the hysteria is generated for commercial and political gain or control?

How much is hyped up by media for ratings?

How much fear is being generated to enact more laws as we saw with 911?

How much is hype for electioneering ?

Nothing that comes from controlled political media outlets can be trusted.
All social media is flooded with paid political shills.

The truth has a extremely hard time fighting it's way to the surface under these conditions , even the so- called experts and invested scientific professionals can and have had their studies sold to the corporation with the largest bid, along with politicians.

A far greater pandemic is the one of liars and opportunists.

Okay? What do you call China quarantining what, a 10% of the entire world's population? Shutting down hundreds of factories as they fight this? Or what's happening in Italy, where hospitals are more and more crowded as the infection keeps growing and there's not nearly enough beds and ventilators for all of them?

These are huge, disruptive events, and we still don't know when it's going to be over. Yes the numbers in some countries like China and SK are going down, and HOPEfully that's a signal that they are over the worst of it, but even if it is, that's only BECAUSE these countries have taken huge measure to get there, it didn't just "Go away."

IT's such backwards thinking, that this is not a major thing because it hasn't killed so many people so far. The best way to make sure it doesn't kill people is to understand this has a HUGE potential to kill MILLIONS. And he's arguing you shouldn't trust the hype basically because he's upset it's making Trump look bad.

Shills are trying so hard to make it worse than it is.

It's so easy to manipulate public hysteria isn't it , if you have a political power position to protect and foster .
China is the worst example if you're looking for any reliable template on this because of their communist ideology and their human rights violations.
Italy and indeed any country can get swept up in hysteria if it's leaders foster and promote the concept by over re-action.

While this virus has very real implications for a nation and its citizenship generally , we must always also be cognizant of the tendency of politicalization for draconian control measures and financial gain.
