Bitcoin is just moving towards its fair value of $7714, its still pretty overvalued right now. BTC could make $100k, but the price is limited by the amount of transactions that can happen (price = supply and demand), so if you can only do 1 MB blocks you can only have so much demand. BTC's fair value, or its objective market price determined by the owners of BTC themselves, is at roughly $7714 while its exchange price is at $8300.61. It was near $10,000 a few weeks ago, but fair value has remained the same, fair value isn't able to be manipulated like exchange price is.

Exchanges price every coin in BTC for some stupid reason, so that means when bitcoin moves the whole market moves at the same time. That's not the case with fair value, which uses on-chain data to compute the price of each coin individually, instead of relying on an BTC-denominated exchange price.

Exchanges are merely web pages with central servers, their trades don't happen on the chains you trade until you withdraw. Otherwise its just entries in a ledger like a bank. That makes the price easy to manipulate. Fair value is immune to these problems (exchange centralization and BTC-denominated pricing).
