I completely agree with the China and Europe, South Korea and Iraq bans on travel--- but I don't understand why it is not the entire world. Here Trump has a valid reason to militarize the border and yet is not doing it. Why not?

Let’s get some facts out front, this virus was already spreading and was far more wide spread due to China’s secrecy and delays in alerting other countries.

A strong leader will not cause a panic and Trump as far as I am concerned said all the right things, aired the significance of this outbreak without breaking down and running to a safe closet. Proposed paid sick leave for every American, no cost testing as well as no cost medical care for cases of an infection from this virus.

The President has also leveraged insurance companies to waive individual deductibles, asked the do nothings in Congress for a suspension of both Corporate and Employees payroll tax deductions and enacted stronger travel restrictions to include travelers from the majority of Europe and to continue the restrictions already enacted on travelers from China to which many called him xenophobic and racist for the initial restrictions early in the outbreak.

The President has also sent special teams to our Southern boarder to screen individuals crossing both legally and to ensure no illegal crossers who may have been exposed to enter our Country.

There has been much noise about the testing kits and how our systems are not setup as we have seen in some European Countries. A previous administration shares the blame in the lapses that have contributed to the testing issues, that previous administration enacted regulations that the CDC was the only approved testing facility in the country when it comes to identifying virulent outbreaks like this most recent one.

I could speculate as to why this decision was made. It was established during another pandemic outbreak of the virus commonly known as Swine Flu. That administration did not want testing to occur outside of the CDC system so that the number of those affected and the actual numbers of diagnosis could be controlled and the public not informed of the millions of deaths associated with that viral outbreak.

Now you have what is suppose to be the Majority Leader first nearly 2 weeks ago refusing to even consider the proposed legislation from the President and Republican leaders because of the “xenophobic ideas” coming from this President. And now...she is attempting to ramrod a piece of legislation thru for this virus but wants to include over a billion federal dollars for abortion providers.

That has zero to do with the current situation yet she says it’s her way or nothing, never mind that her proposed legislation is illegal due to established federal laws, another bright mind from the clan of free stuff is using the situation to demand a universal income for everyone which again does nothing to help the viral outbreak.

And their answer to the current administration who can barely remember his own name much less where he is at the moment joins the crowd criticizing the Presidents travel restrictions as xenophobic and wrong. Papa where am I O’Biden proceeds to give a list of actions he would enact when he becomes Senator O’Biden, the exact same proposals put forth last night by the President. Smugly, Mr. O’Biden makes the statement that Trump is welcome to adopt his ideas, ideas already proposed by the current administration.

Let no crisis go to waste is the mantra of some who wish to be given the power that comes with the winning of an election. Some of the ideas they have proposed are compelling despite zero ideas of how to fund them, others are truly frightening and in opposition of our Constitution.

I really don’t get to worked up over the swapping of power shared between two parties and a few men every 2 to 8 years as nothing ever really changes, just the person wielding the wand. I vote for that person I believe will perhaps be the “one” and was encouraged with Trump as the outsider who could shake them all up.

No one can argue he hasn’t done that, certainly not thrilled me with every utterance and decisions but for the most part he has tried, avoiding major conflicts, attempting to end others, and generally remembering what its all about which is “We the People”. The lack of supplies is not Trump's fault. This started when Clinton signed NAFTA. All of our mfg. started to leave the country. Every single president since Clinton has promised to renegotiate NFTA, but never did. In fact, Obama almost got us stuck in TPP which would have made matters worse. President Trump, from day 1, has started to bring mfg. back to our country, but these things don't happen overnight. What do people want Trump to do? Put together test kits in the basement of the WH?
