confirmed. cost of living and crowding has increased significantly in the last 10 years in tx, houston area. developers, many from the northeast us, have ripped apart neighborhoods to replace with "luxury living". all in the name of "progress". was a great town, rough around the edges and not very well organized, but cost of living was low, had everything you need in a big city, and people were pretty nice. much different now.
