Based on (yesterday's/Wednesday's) statements here/below, the LETHAL rate of this infection seems to be CLOSER TO 1%...NOT 3% OR MORE...

THEN, putting together the evidence that this infection has a history of infecting people (w/o them getting very sick - or at least not so sick to even seek medical attention), this therefore leaves us with the likely reality, or at least realistic possibility: WITH FAR MORE PEOPLE W/THE INFECTION - BUT NOT COUNTED IN THE OFFICIAL NUMBERS - THE ACTUAL LETHAL RATE OF THE VIRUS IS THEN FAR LOWER THAN 1%.

(This finally leaves us with the potential conclusion of this virus having the lethal rate then...perhaps closer to the common flu.) Only time will bear out the truth.

It depends on the strain. The strain in Iran has a 20% mortality rate, the average is about 4%.
BUT, they are all inaccurate as you don't really know until after the crisis. Many of the people in the infected category will be dead in 2 weeks, skewing the numbers.
