Anonymous Coward User ID: 63177956 United States 03/13/2020 12:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I’ll start. Central rural Illinois. Quoting: Tim Foil Hat Last night and this morning. One store: No meat or chicken at all, no water, limited to none of the normal panic items. Our more rural local store this morning: limited meat, mostly out, no chicken. None of the normal panic items (but I did grab more of the just restocked TP because, you know, everyone is doing it). Half the chip aisle gone. I was not concerned viewing the photos on GLP. Seeing all the empty shelves and stuff running out, I think this could get weirder before it gets better. For “real” supplies- foil, flour, oil, spices, sauces for flavoring, dwindling but available. Honey mustard gone! Other sauces plentiful. Parking lot not at thanksgiving levels, but WAY crowded for 10:00 am on a Friday. Walgreens this morning had some Dasani (on sale!) left, and I bought 5000 ibuprofen and more Benadryl. No noticeable stock gaps yet except for the water area, which was devastated. What’s it look like in your area? Fake Reporting for a Fake Virus for Fake People, proceed. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78576184 Canada 03/13/2020 12:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Know toilet paper at the safeway and shoppers in central alberta. The aisle with cleaning products looked sparse also. I didnt want to stay in there so i didnt take inventory.. I think the its only a matter of time before the stores clear right out. I feel sorry for the employees who are stuck in their service industry jobs and have no choice but to keep showing up for work until they get infected. And they will |

It doesn't matter what you believe or don't believe. You have to match the craziness of the crazy people at this point just to get your standard amount of groceries whether you buy into it or not. The panic is real and I don't want to wipe my ass with my hand. At this point, I'm not ready to break into any of my preps...way too early. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78347381 United States 03/13/2020 12:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | two stores Walmart and target 9pm 3/13 southern Illinois empty shelf reporting --- over counter medicine --- household cleaning supplies --- I cleaned out Gatorade. and V8 drinks with electrolytes. new. Gatorade was low at both stores. --- extra pallets of drinkable water. --- in fact I already seen pallets to replace. so evidently the stores already know or have seen supplies running low. --- toilet paper. eff that. find baby wipes. I check food the next few days, and continue with Gatorade and water. I told my wife, Prices for everything and I mean everything. right now the cheapest they will ever be. price will eventually rise. we save money. but being careful and buying essentials items that we already use. but could become scarce if the spiral continues down. and could become helpful. and I do not want to be running around looking for supplies when every else is sick. which could be right now.. |

We got it for headaches, bumps, bruises, etc. but good to know about the covid connection. Mostly got it because the chi coms are threatening to stop shipping it, and they supply like 80% of our ibuprofen. Also, thanks to whoever pinned this! Let’s start collecting some intel! Careful! They are listening! VP Elect is the way to go. All the perks, none of the responsibility... |

Do people not know eggs are awesome too? Oh, and a run on frozen crap food, mostly pizza. That aisle was obliterated. So I panic bought hot pockets to break up the monotony of our canned stuff. High calorie, easy, different. Last Edited by VP Elect Tim Foil Hat on 03/13/2020 12:55 PM Careful! They are listening! VP Elect is the way to go. All the perks, none of the responsibility... |

User ID: 68884242 United States 03/13/2020 12:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Costco in Columbus, Ohio opened at 10am. By 920am the line wrapped around the building. 1 TP or paper towel per card holder. Employees were loading stacks of 3-4 packs of toilet paper to their own cars. I had to go grab some stuff for our office. Really glad my house is already stocked up on everything needed. People are bat shit crazy right now. Saw a woman punch another woman over lysol at a Lowes last night. Entertaining but unnecessary |

User ID: 3797826 United States 03/13/2020 12:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just got back from my local walmart here in Lafourche Parish Louisiana. I was picking up a few preps that I had neglected like snacks, comfort foods etc. I am well prepped but apparently the panic shopping is hitting this area hard. TP is gone completely, paper towels were down to a few individual rolls and twin packs. All cough and cold medicine gone, alcohol gone, lysol wipes and brown bottle lysol gone. Bleach gone, rice and beans are mostly wiped out, I only saw a few 1lb bags of rice and all the big bags of beans are gone only 1lb packages still there. Individual-sized bottled water is gone and they only had two 5 gallon jugs left. Here in Louisiana as of this morning we had 19 presumptively positive cases with most being in the New Orleans area. We do have one case so far in my parish and that patient is in the hospital less than 20 miles from my home. The scary part is none of the cases appear to be from travel either to international hot spots or US states that are seeing community spread. 4 of the NOLA cases are in a senior care facility that has mostly elderly people who also have serious health conditions. I expect most if not all residents will eventually test positive and I expect most of those to die due to age and underlying health conditions. I am pretty sure that the crowds in town for Mardi Gras a few weeks back is what caused the virus to show up in NOLA and enough were infected to cause community spread. lsufanatic |
