Lawdy........What to do about schools closing down

Yes. I was at the store and moms were talking about how when their kids were home, they eat 4 times as much and how much a strain it puts on the budget. Schools are scrambling to put together month-long meal boxes for the kids. WTF?

These people are pansies. They wouldn't have survived the 80's when these free services didn't exist.

One loudly said how much she was dreading the closure. Was just going to kick the kids outside all day.

Why even bother to have kids? It's so cruel to them.

Heh, she thinks she's going to send them outside.....

It used to be so people had caretakers in their older age. But children now tend to run off or leave their parents in an old-age home.

Or because people have a need for both sex and getting sperm into an ovum.

they've been looking at the same pandemic spread charts WE have and know it's likely we'll be in the millions soon, and also know how most will react to that.

so they stagger their news releases and use "frog in the pot" syndrome to soften the blow from that. with a little luck by the time there ARE millions sick it won't be as hard to accept.

if they put all their cards on the table at once, the DOW would be 5000 by now [on it's way to 1000].

All this virus BS is a cover for the economic collapse and bringing in the chip in your right hand.

They are going to close it all down, all businesses.

It’s disgusting to hear people put down others, families, that are poor enough to rely on school lunches for their kids. What kind of heartless people are you? Certainly not the ones who will volunteer to drive to meeting places to get meals to kids. You are certainly not the ones who give a damn about anyone unless they live up to your so very perfect standards. I’m a teacher and I know that every single parent loves their child, and despite their circumstances they will do all they can to keep their children safe. I know there are some parents who can’t parent and even some who should not be allowed access. But even those families need and deserve our help because the alternative is to abandon those kids, those beautiful kids who have all the potential of your own kids given some opportunity. Please stop bashing parents who need help! How about getting off your self-proclaimed higher status and do something good to benefit a family or a child. Now is the time to stop self-congratulating yourself for your good fortune and turn your focus on helping others in this time of need.

You have my utmost respect and compassion single parent who works to help others- while raising your child on your own. It’s easy for others to sit on a high horse and dole out criticism when they have no idea about the courage and sacrifices you make every day. I pray you are all safe during all of this. ❤️

No, thanks. Their up to their charades again. This going to be a month of hell. Already threw something at my house, probably their illegal surveillance chit again.

This is bad.... We love the grand kids but they are a lot of work and stress. Now we are not just daily exposed to every bug going around with kids in the house coming and going, we are worn out, over worked and stressed out making us even more vulnerable and not to mention having to enforce / teach school work, using up our preps, funds, time and energy on unexpected child care. I have garden to plant, farm work to do and they are no help, far from it.

Here is proof our "schools" are crap! I see all these "NON-EMERGENT" services and wonder, what dip-switch thought that up?

"Non-Emergent" is what you get for weed control! I.e. the weeds do not come out... the don't "emerge"...

So, instead of "non-emergenCY" medical transports, we have service for people who will not come out?

It's too bad that it ever got to the point where both parents have to work to keep a roof over the family's head.

People like the idea of kids. Just not the reality. I see this when people get dogs. The dog behaves like a dog. They don’t train it and put it outside on a chain and forget about it. That is how many kids are raised.

It is ridiculous what people and facilities charge. People charge 10 an hour (and they all look like college age kids) and the poor parent is working for less an hour than the babysitter! Babysitters usually watch more than one kid a day, let's say 4 or 5 a day. That's 40 or 50 bucks an hour they are making! It's not supposed to be that way. You babysit and charge LESS per hour because you make it up in numbers you watch! Truly. 20 an hour from watching 4 or 5 kids is a good babysitting wage. Or at least give a reasonable weekly rate. Gee. Not everyone is a doctor, lawyer or CEO making big bucks.

If woman stayed home where they belonged, cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids, sewing, etc, this wouldn't be an issue
