Somebody found a cure for the Spanish Flu and they want to inject a similar protien into us?

I wish it were that easy. Viruses mutate so quickly that that epitope can be erased in other strain and there goes your inmunity. Multiple specific epitopes would be better, but still won’t work if the strain mutates enough, and that’s precisely why flu vaccines have to be constantly produced for new strains.
