Last month's jobs numbers smashed estimates again. We can't have Trump heading into an election with a booming economy now can we?

Larry called. He said to "Pull it"

Re: I don't understand the fear I am witnessing
People are anxious and scared, why? I don't feel any sense of panic or urgency. Sure we are jam packed with food, I accidentally bought some plenty pack of toilet paper a couple weeks ago and have only gone through 2 rolls since then. I didn't even have to spend a lot on essentials.

What is it that people are afraid of? Some lady at the food market I went to was just walking up and down the isles, not looking at anything except what was in front of her with 1 package of tp in her cart. She looked completely lost and scared all red in the face and smelled like alcohol and cigarettes.
 Quoting: chasity

I saw several people while out shopping yesterday who were red-faced and sweaty and everyone looked anxious.

My fear surrounds the fact that I am going to have all my kids home for a month. What am I supposed to do? What is my routine now? It is like I just got dropped in a wilderness and have been told I have 30 days to walk back to civilization. Everything seems like a complete unknown right now.
 Quoting: Deplorable Doomfan45

Keep them occupied, don't let them stop learning. My kids do online school so it's business as usual for us except no activities beyond the yard.

There are a bunch of online learning your kids could do while you are home.

There is even a disclaimer that you can have free access in the event of school closure.

If your area's been affected by the "toilet paper apocalypse", you could likely sell it out of the back of your truck or on street corners like a crack dealer... ten bucks a roll, first come, first served.

It's MASS IDIOCY. The masses are asses and always have been. The media has made the masses paranoid about the corona virus, but yet the regular flu has killed far more people and that comes every year. Most people are too stupid to think for themselves.

I’m not living in fear but I’m being somewhat cautious, to the extent I’m washing may hands 24/7 and using hand sanitizer when entering my home or getting into my car.

I have experienced enough hurricanes to know i may need a bag of dried beans and some toilet paper and gas in my car if the store closes.

I’m actually excited that I am seeing some people “looking up”. My prayer is more people will wake up and turn to Jesus. This virus could be the start of a great Revival.

they will love it too! There are so many outside of school activities too that will keep them social but not now of course!

When we registered for online school it took just a week and they send chromebooks for them. Plus if they are slow in something like math, you can sit in the class with them and help them with the work. In my state they only do 5 hours a day and only 3 classes are 45 minutes long, the rest of the time they do work or play recordings if they are caught up with the work. They will love it! They can eat when they want go to the bathroom when they want.

you can even log offline hours for them so if they only do 3 hours of school you can do an hour of library time or gym,

In two weeks everything will be back to normal, but there is an impending financial collapse coming on the horizon. It’s been a fake and propped up economy for many years, and Trump is about to eat crow for touting it the last 3 years. The gov’t is already swindling money with these emergency budget bills being passed. The virus is just a guise and front for the financial collapse. We are born into this world equal, but after that, equality means jack squat. What are you doing with you life everyday? It’s a meritocracy, and people are about to find out really quick that they are the fat that’s getting trimmed.

Fear is the real killer here, the MSM is pumping it like crazy, and it's fucking criminal.

Fear is what's kicking the shit out of our stock market, stampeding sheep into emptying our stores, closing down businesses, industries and everything else we're hearing about, and fucking up our economy, royally.

Fear. Not millions of bodies in the streets and morgues, not emergency rooms overflowing with the dead and dying, but less than 50 dead over the course of multiple months of it's being here, and a whole metric fuckton of FEAR.

Set your fucking TV sets on fire, and stop being scared sheepish pussies for fucks sake.

It's called the great tribulation for a reason.
 Quoting: anonymous 77899003

There will be two great tribulations.

The latter shall occurs on 24th October 2029 from 3:55pm est after a gentle rocking like a baby in a cradle before the great shift.

The first shall be near easter in 2026 with armageddon, and Lord Jesus is the fifth and last great Anti-Christ.

here will be mass rescued again as it were in those ancient of days.

This is why the earth shall darkened and the Sun will not give light because countless cigars and spaceships will uncloaked the sky that will blocked the Sun.

One must be in peace and calm with light in them to be rescued, otherwise they will not rescued and rejected.

It will be lightning quick and professional rescues and we had done this many times.

Oh and there are many motherships bigger than any cities that is 500 miles wide also called the kingdom of God and heavens.

Now you see, John The Baptist and Lord Jesus are also commanders of the two motherships also known as 'There are many mansions in my father house'.

So whoever with souls think of Lord Jesus as prehistoric cavemen instead of modern spaceman are in for a bog standard surprised, again.

I think the fear is that no one will be able to pay their bills or mortgage. I watched a interview with AOC on FOX news the other night and she was so matter of fact about people needing assistance to pay their bills because alot of people were going to loose their jobs in society ! I thought that little bitch is talking about peoples lives like she doesn't care because she will still be getting a check off of the backs of the people that have a job left !

Re: I don't understand the fear I am witnessing
I get the feeling that people buy so much out of fear but also because they get the feeling that they are no longer in control of their lives. Buying gives that feeling of control of a situation, for as long as that may last. Blah blah blah, psychology.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77235032

This is the bottom line. It's why I'm prepared, in an attempt to control as much of the situation as I personally can.

It's important to me, but I have a limit on how far I'm willing to go, because I personally know we are ultimately not in control of where our lives may head, from minute to minute.

Got my illusions shattered on that back in 2003.

Paradigm shift.

But it makes me feel better to do what I can, while I can, calmly, and without fear (for the most part). Preparation is a great physical way to battle fear. Panic is the too-late attempt to battle fear.

We really aren't in control. Self-reliance beyond a certain point is a myth. That's why we really need to rely on God. I've always found if I take the tiniest step in His direction, He takes a giant leap in mine, and it wasn't what I had expected, but even better.

He already sees the outcome. Some people think it's card readers and crystal balls and psychics that see the future. Not! lol

I stand amazed. Peace out.

It's because the illusion of safety has been suddenly shattered.

We are a bit different here on GLP, because we spend a lot of time contemplating such scenarios and we know it could happen.

I went shopping today and saw the fear, too. An elderly woman was approached by a guy selling cellphone subscriptions, and she RAN AWAY with a look of barely contained panic on her face.
