Anonymous Coward User ID: 76759009 United States 03/14/2020 07:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | For years, my local Kroger meat deli has always permitted customers to sample different deli meats and cheese before deciding what to buy. They gladly do it. Quoting: Boars Head Covid 75826048 Today, I was choosing between two different Boars Head meats, and as usual I asked for a sample of each one. However, the woman behind the counter (that knows me) whispered to me that she’s no longer supposed to let anyone have samples. I asked why and she replied, “Corona Virus”. She admitted it doesn’t make sense, but she discreetly gave me my samples anyway. By the way, the store was still heavily depleted of many many items after the panic buying over the last 2 days. . Forum Administrator 03/14/2020 08:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Something about food, liability, and insurance.. causing stores to rethink giving out samples. Quoting: zenergy I was at a fast food restaurant yesterday, and they'd moved all condiments, napkins, silverware and such from out on the floor to behind the counter, and you had to ask for them and the kid behind the counter would pass them out. Mind you, this is a fast food joint and all of these items are individually wrapped already. I asked why it'd changed, and the response was "coronavirus"... so stupid. I am a Christian.
