They contacted me to verify that I was withdrawing the money after the third withdraw. Quoting: Cap’n Obvious I took out another $500 today. A minute after the withdraw was compete I got a text from them saying my account was suspended. Called the 800 number and once again said it was me who just took out the money and they said I need to go to my branch on Monday and talk with a representative. Most of my money goes through a State Credit Union - so if BOA is going to do this shit I will just use the credit union account. A hassle to get cash but at least I can get it. Will update later. every hard dollar has been leveraged exponentially if you take 1 dollar out it must be covered by either collateral or credit drained from their corporate position as much as 53X |

I had high security on mine and anytime I used a non bank of America atm. it would deny and lock. I would have to drive to bank of America use atm, then call 800 number. once I changed the high security measure I could withdraw anywhere and pull as much as the daily limit. unless I went inside. good luck. |

Yep and if you start using your credit card for groceries and the like, in unusual amounts, they may deny the transaction. Happened to me today, so keep your phone handy. Then you can respond to the FRAUD ALERT text immediately and tell them that it really IS you spending $200 on groceries. If it's an unusual use compared to your normal shopping history, it could happen. |

It's just too much data to keep track of any other way. If you were a bank, you would be paranoid about fraud too. It's annoying, but also reassuring they have these safety mechanisms in place so your account isn't cleaned out by unauthorized criminals. |

I call them and they tell me several checks hit my account before they got my check because somebody clogged up the chute on the ND slot before my check went in and nobody thought to check it even after they got no night deposits for days. In others words, they admitted the problem was on their end but fuck me anyway. |
