The Biggest Planetary Alignment Ever in our Lives July 4th 2020.. | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 70663772 United States 05/16/2020 01:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Mostly in Capricorn, looks like Earth may be in between these giants and the Sun. I think I'm going to hide under the bed for the first week of July. Stock up food and water. The alignment this thread is about is a heliocentric one, not a geocentric one. It makes zero sense to apply anything at all ado with the geocentric ecliptic zodiac to this thread. |

Quoting: Remedial_Rebel Earth has a near 10 degree offset of the near alignment(within 5 degrees) of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. [link to theskylive.com (secure)] (click set time to 07/04/2020) It's closer than you're realizing. It's close enough that if you were standing on the Sun at that time, then Mercury, Venus, Earth, Jupiter, and Saturn would all be covered under your thumb at the end of your outstretched arm, and Mars would only be slightly to the left of your thumb by an inch or so. You can look at the alignment here by adjusting the date, and moving the 3D picture around: [link to theskylive.com (secure)] On July 5, 12:44 a.m. Eastern Time the Buck Moon (full moon) starts. The Buck Moon starts on July 4 in Europe. . thanks I will check this link on the actual 4th |

Earth is farther off the alignment(near 10 degrees) than Mars, which means gravitational effects would be minimal. That just doesn't give me a doomgasm. When you look at the heliocentric model, it's really striking, and you see Earth right in the middle of it. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 33414926 United States 05/16/2020 09:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The 1982 alignment had the planets scattered over 90°. This time, mars is the furthest out at less than 40°, the rest of the planets are within 10°? that's very close... This also has Jupiter and Saturn at their closest. Jupiter's magnetic field extends to Saturn, but i don't know if it normally affects Saturn when their orbits are close. Jupiter's field normally only extends 7mil km towards the sun, and the earth is 55mil km from mars, so the odds of these magnetic fields having an impact on planets closer to the sun is probably small. For reference, Earth's magnetic field extends approximately 65k km Doesn't make any of it less interesting, unless maybe if you only look at it from an apocalyptic standpoint. Magnetic fields predominately affect on solar winds, so it's not likely that this planetary alignment would affect any planet but Saturn. It would be very interesting however if it created something like visible aurora from Earth. I think a nice red white and blue aurora would be fitting. =/ [link to lh3.googleusercontent.com (secure)] |

Extreme gravity making it hard to breathe killing many people with weakened immune systems ? A major sun flare frying the northern hemisphere which would make i can’t breath another reality Monkeybluebird |

QUOTE: Probes found that Mars and Venus do not have a significant magnetic field. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune all have magnetic fields much stronger than that of the Earth. Jupiter is the champion- having the largest magnetic field. [link to www.uu.edu (secure)] That's why Jupiter (Sky Daddy) is the KING. |
