John 10:30 I and my Father are one. Jesus said that!
It's a Father and a Son, Royalty of Heaven. Pathetic that you waste your time trying to divide. Every knee shall bow.

It's one of the oldest debates in Christianity guy, relax. At least he's talking about it.

Me and my family are one. Doesn't mean I'm my kid or I'm my wife or any one of them are me. In a way, in America the most powerful man in the country is one with the most desolate bum on the street. Doesn't mean one can act as the other.

It comes down to is God capable of being a single man and was that man Jesus? I get the idea, this "divine essence" or "Holy Spirit" was inside, or better yet simply put God. He either was or wasn't. Messiah after all simply means Messenger. Fact is Jesus was not sure. Not at the beginning nor, according to Scripture, at the end (Matthew 27:46).

All of this is really inconsequential if you follow the Great Commandment(s).

No the great commandments will not save you. You can not perfectly obey all of them in all their nuances.
Mentally you might think you are upholding them, but in your heart you still sin. Which is why the only way to Salvation is through Faith in Christ.
Now if you are really his child, then there is no confusion or doubt, that he is the Father, but in human form.
It is a miracle the human mind can only grasp by Faith.

If you do not get this, then you have a spiritual problem! Very probably are deluding yourself and are not really saved.
So be very careful here and make sure you know him and not just the words that are written about him.

1. Repent

Matthew 4:17 (KJV) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Mark 1:15 And saying*, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe* the gospel.

2. Believe

John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

3. Be "born again".

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4. Forgive others so the Father will forgive you.

Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

5. Do the Father's Will

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Neither Jesus nor the Holy Spirit are equal to the Father.

The Father SENT Jesus.
The Father SENDS the Holy Spirit.

The first of the early church fathers to be recorded using the word "Trinity" was Theophilus of Antioch writing in the late 2nd century.

He defines the Trinity as God, His Word (Logos) and His Wisdom (Sophia) in the context of a discussion of the first three days of creation, following the early Christian practice of identifying the Holy Spirit as the Wisdom of God.

The first defense of the doctrine of the Trinity was in the early 3rd century by the early church father Tertullian. He explicitly defined the Trinity as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and defended his theology against "Praxeas",[47] though he noted that the majority of the believers in his day found issue with his doctrine.

.....

1. Jesus NEVER said "pray to me" NOR "worship me".
2. Jesus NEVER said "pray to the Holy Spirit" NOR "worship Holy Spirit".
3. Jesus NEVER said "pray to / worship the trinity".
4. Jesus NEVER said to pray to ANYONE other than the Father.
5. The Holy Spirit NEVER says "I am _______" and you shall ________. Only Jesus and the Father say such.

Matthew 6

9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Luke 11

1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say,

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

3 Give us day by day our daily bread.

4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

OP isn't trying to divide. Jesus said that HE came to divide.

Matthew 10:34 "Think not that I have come to introduce peace into the land; I came not to introduce peace, but a Sword"

Luke 12

51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

That's the Father speaking in pre-Jesus Old Testament times.

The Father is THE AUTHOR of salvation AND everlasting life.
IF the Father HAD NOT sent Jesus - we wouldn't KNOW about "everlasting life" NOR the coming "new heaven and new earth".

So the Book of Hebrews takes precedence over what Jesus actually SAID?

Utter NONSENSE.

Here's an another example of Hebrews foolishness.

Thread: Hebrews 12:2 Embellishes Jesus as "Author" - Yet the Plan for Salvation is Father God's - Bible Study

....

Let's look at some REAL facts.

The Father SENT Jesus.
The Father SENDS the Holy Spirit.

That requires AUTHORITY and power.

0. The Father says "I am God - there is NO ONE else".
- Isaiah 46:9 and maybe 10 other verses.

00. Jesus SAID the Father is the
"only TRUE God" and "His God - OUR God".
- John 17:3, John 20:17 and Revelation 3:12.

000. Jesus NEVER said this phrase "I am God".

0000. Jesus NEVER said this phrase "call me God".

1. Jesus NEVER said "pray to me" NOR "worship me".

2. Jesus NEVER said to pray to ANYONE other than the Father.

3. NO one says this phrase - "Jesus is God".

4. Jesus NEVER says "pray to" nor "worship the Holy Spirit".

5. The word "trinity" isn't in the Bible.

6. The trinity "concept" didn't start unil the middle of the 2nd Century.

So Father God commands God Jesus?
Father God GIVES power to God Jesus?
Father God TAUGHT God Jesus?

NOPE.

Father God did and gave to the SON OF God.

Father God SENT Jesus. (said 47 times in the 4 Gospels)

Father God TAUGHT Jesus. John 5:19 & John 8:28

Re: Bible Study - John 17:3 and 20:17 Revelation 3:12 - Jesus Says the Father Alone is God
I have made known to the OP several times the following verse, which he always obfuscates with a wall of text that he does not understand.
Again I ask OP
You equate being SENT as being inferior in Nature than the one sending.
The One being Sent is YHWH, by Adonai YHWH and His Spirit

Isaiah 48:16 Come ye near unto Me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now Adonai YHWH, and His Spirit, hath sent Me.

17 Thus saith YHWH, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am YHWH thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

Please explain why is one YHWH sending another called YHWH?

Psalms 107:20 He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Genesis 15:1 After these things The Word of YHWH came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: and he saw it, and was glad.

John 1:1 In the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with GOD, and The Word was GOD.

They understood what He was saying

that YOU DENY.

Who TOLD Jesus what to say?

...the Father SENT me Said by Jesus 47 times
...I say what the Father has said. John 12:49-50

49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

...The Father GAVE me the Revelation

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

......

...Jesus said...I learned / do as the Father has showed me. John 5:19 & John 8:28

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
