Blood type A more prone to coronavirus, 41% of those who died were type A.
People with blood type A are more likely to be infected with the new coronavirus, and the relative risk of blood type O is lower. This is the latest study on new coronaviruses jointly conducted by eight research institutes in China.

Among 1775 patients with new-type coronavirus pneumonia in Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital, the proportions were A: 37.75%, B: 26.42%, AB: 10.03%, and O: 25.80% (P <0.001).

The statistical results of 206 dead patients, the proportions of blood types were A: 41.26%, B: 24.27%, AB: 9.22%, and O: 25.24%.

People with type A blood may need special personal protection to reduce the chance of infection. Patients with blood type A who are infected with SARS-CoV-2 may need to receive more vigilant surveillance and active treatment.

Yes but article says 40% of population type A and 45% type O. So more of the population is type O. The infection and death rate for type O was much lower than type A. So being type A was significant in the study.

The ABO blood group is determined genetically. As a result, its distribution varies among ethnic groups. Globally, the most common blood type is O, but the most common blood type of Europeans is A

No Slightly more O than A.

The ABO group of 3,694 normal people in Wuhan showed A, B, AB, and O, and their distributions corresponded to (A)32.16%, (B)24.90%, (AB)9.10%, and (O)33.84%, respectively.

Yeah, I just searched again and am getting more sources too saying Chinese have quite a bit more O types than A. Sorry, I remember reading A was the most common there, and when you search it it’s still the top google result....so bad info.

But if your Wuhan study of groups is right, it’s only slight margin of more O then A, comparable to all of China......So A being the predominant type for infection, that’s pretty significant

Back to despair again. :/

that is a hotly disputed statistic

most statistical analysis points to type O being 40% and

type A around 29%

Wow, I am 80, my wife is 67, I am type A, she is 0. I am 100 percent we have the virus, but I am prepared with the proper nutrients and a few meds plus having us in great condition. What we noticed is. In ttw days, from the sinus to the throat with fever, in spite of mega doses of c etc. I almost checked out one night, but came back with oregano oil. What saying here, it really effects me more than my dear wife. We are on the road to isolate in the norther woods. I am making it in spite of it’s keeping going into my lungs.

No, this does not make it make sense.

There are more O's than A's in the world.

On a per capita basis A's are worse off and O's are best off. B's and AB's are in between.

O is old blood type - cave man blood. Does better with red-meat. Does not like grains and wheat.

A and B only came about with agriculture and fishing. They do better with non-red meat and grains.

O's tend to be "hardier" - less sick. I am O and rarely get sick. Wife is A and is sick with colds 2 or 3 times a year at least.
