I think that the President was holding off to see if enough states did this, and it's less than 10 (rumor of one more at 5pm). Given that, it would make sense. This does not go against the Posse Comitatus Act--it was amended with the National Defense Authorization Act, which gave the president the authority to mobilize National Guard units within the U.S. without the consent of state governors, passed in 2006). So they have full legal authority to do it, granted to by congress in 2006 for the 2007 bill. |

If not Well sir/ma'am...just tried to search WRAL's site which is where I saw the news that Wake County was considering 20 wks shutdown but cannot find it. No surprise to me since I've seen that station scrub shit off their site before. I assure you I'm not full of crap since I'm a teacher and actually do keep abreast of news in our area. All you have to do is look at what a few of our universities are doing which is cancelling classes for online option and clearing out the dorms on campus. Oh, and I fixed your spelling error BTW. And thought struggles against the results, trying to avoid those unpleasant results while keeping on with that way of thinking.
