Not sure if this will ease people's minds or not

I am not looking to change a person's mind and I am not making suggestions as to what to do.
I am just sharing what I know or was told.

First some of you may know that I am a chef by trade. I always enjoyed the thought of food and how without it we wouldn't be here. I like to condense things down to there purest form.

Anyway first I will give you my perspective and then I will give you what I was told.

People don't cook anymore, some don't even know how. This is also my theory as to why people bought TP first, that's all they have control of in their life is wiping their ass. No joke, some people can't cook pasta. People are used to getting food from restaurants. People eat Sunday dinner at home sometimes but the vast majority of people eat out, out of necessity.

You know the stores during Thanksgiving, that is just one day and they plan for it weeks/months ahead. The stores are not used to this many people buying this much at once. The supply chain is set up to supply restaurants because they receive 80% of the food.

So my point is, there is food. We live in a huge machine and it is very complicated. We also operate in terms of efficiency to maximize sales and profits rarely is there waste because that would mean losses.

This is what I was told, my food providers are still operating normally. They still have supplies are more than likely going to get more supplies. But they may reduce shipping days to save on labor but if resurrects stop ordering food because people stop eating there or getting Togo's then it's going to be a mess.

Government will come in and sieze control of sysco's and the like and reroute it to grocery stores or more than likely hold it and ration it.
