Blue Cross Blue Shield confirms 2 Metro Detroit employees have coronavirus (COVID-19)

Cleaning process intensified

According to the company, one of the employees was working remotely and hasn’t been to work in Detroit in nearly two weeks.

The employee’s work area has been cleaned multiple times.

The other employee works in Southfield.

The floor of the building is closed for cleaning until Friday, the company said.

Health officials are advising people with mild symptoms to stay home, do not go to a hospital and do not consider getting tested. That means only the most serious cases will be tested.

Beaumont Health’s Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Epidemiology Nick Gilpin spoke about this at a press conference March 18 after the hospital announced the state’s first COVID-19-related death.

“A lot of patients who are experiencing mild symptoms and don’t have underlying symptoms don’t need to be tested because it won’t change how we will treat you,” he said.

He said he expects between 80-90 percent of patients to recover uneventfully.

In the video, the doctor says in all the Beaumont hospitals, they have dozens with corona......

So much for my retarded relatives who laughed at me when I tried to warn them at the end of February.

Early March they were bragging about how Michigan had none, and Michigan was going to be fine.

Went up to my liquor store last night for a few pops because word on the street is they are going to be ordered to shut down

The CDC issued directions on dealing with Corona virus victims. This was for funeral directors, morgue workers, transport, medical examiner investigators etc.

Wear a full tyvek suit, n95 respirator, and face shield...double glove. However, it didn't describe how to get out of the suit without infecting yourself! Just wash hands, face, and beard. I'm temporarily shaving my beard until this blows over.

It's a messed up deal...I guess if I am ordered to a corona death scene I might just refuse. I simply don't have enough training to not get infected.

I lived and worked in Lansing on a project for about a year. Glad to get out.

But that is the place where one of my co-workers had an interaction with an alien. I totally believe her. She was living in the same apartment complex as I was but a couple of streets down. Saw what she thought was a kid playing in the trash dumpster but when she approached this lizard like alien jumped out of the dumpster. He created this bubble by putting his front claws together and expanding them until the bubble was big enough for him to get inside. He then floated off. There was a little more interaction than that as if the lizard was trying to explain what he was doing.

This lady was as serious as they get. Accountant / CPA. I never doubted her. She was totally freaked out about it. Cried for days.

You should treat every scene as if it is corona, we just don’t know who has it and doesn’t and it lives too long on surfaces

Thank you for starting this thread, I have a hard time finding information on the Michigan cases.

I work for a hospital system and there was a note about a death from Covid-19 as well in the newsletter that is sent out daily...but NOT for Beaumont.

Have you seen anything reported about a 2nd official deaht?

No but I heard a rumor there was another death too and didn’t believe it

From my sources, it was the Beaumont in Grosse Pointe that had the patient die

Also heard a down river hospital worker has it but I don’t know what hospital yet

Please add in heading, “with underlying conditions”

We always seem to avoid most of the world's shit here, we're kinda spoiled in that way, so I can see why they might have that attitude, lol.
