Yes I am in Wayne co downriver to be exact, we are getting a lot of positive cases. But not all are severe.
My aunt said yes you may get it, but only be alarmed if you spike a fever that is very high and you feel like your heart is really going.
Humidifier, vit c and steamy showers will help.
It can raise your blood pressure which causes other issues.
She just said she did not vent one person yesterday, Very few were vented in the make shift icu.

Just got off the phone with a doctor in my health group who is not my primary but on call for him, my strep throat seems to be back

She seemed to be in panic mode and it was pretty hard to understand because of her accent but she said she was prescribing the antibiotic levofloxacin to me to take

She said they have had luck treating corona patients who don’t need hospitalization with this antibiotic


She said that she has five or six patients with coronavirus in the hospital and apparently she is not prescribing Hydroxychloroquine with azithromycin Unless her patients are in dire straits

She will not use the medications as a prophylactic or on any patient that is not in dire need of hospitalization even though her hospital, Henry Ford, is running a trial on using it as a prophylactic

She said that they are only admitting critical patients at the hospitals around Macomb and Wayne, not testing anyone who can manage symptoms at home

Could this be the reason why people are dying?

Maybe if they had better care they wouldn’t get to the point of needing to be in the hospital?

Maybe patients that are sick with Covid type symptoms would do far better if she did prescribe the hydroxychloroquine sooner?

I have no idea but it seems to make sense to me that they would probably have less patients needing to be hospitalized if they could treat the virus when the symptoms are mild and not life-threatening

My son had what seemed very much like a sinus infection. It took 2 weeks to get over because he was not going to go to the doctor for something like this. I can imagine there are other people who need medical care for more serious issues who are choosing to treat at home. How many of them will suffer and potentially die because of this?

They are not testing much at all in the Baton Rouge area either. You have to pretty much require hospitalization in order to get tested. What if people could be tested earlier as you said and receive the the hydroxychoroquine as soon as possible? Perhaps their symptoms would never get to the critical stage then.

I have a second hand confirmation of this in Pennsylvania. The owner of a small local health food store and I were exchanging news this past weekend. He said a customer of his who is a nurse at a nearby, large, supposedly cutting edge hospital, was processing paperwork for someone who had just died in her ward. She had cared for the guy, but he had a respiratory infection with complications and wasn’t able to pull out of it. When she came to the place on the form listing ‘cause of death’ she found it had been listed as ‘coronavirus’. Well, his charts had never mentioned anything about this, so she questioned the doctor who had filled out the form. He told her they ‘had been instructed to list all deaths as coronavirus’. In this case the victim had never been ‘tested’, so the doctor was simply following orders. So much for the integrity of the ‘advanced’ health professional, although you can see at the level of the nursing staff, they are none too comfortable with this.

She also said the wards were not only empty of coronavirus patients… but were quieter than is normal.

I completely agree with getting patients when they’re in the mild stages of it as opposed to treating the critically ill because I’ve been sitting at home trying to self medicate themselves

We have a friend that just passed away and he had a rare lung disease, had a transplant in 2018 but he was recently battling cancer

They listed his death from the rare lung disease with a contributing factor of coronavirus even though he was never tested

I’m a little nervous about the antibiotic she prescribed but having asthma and having pneumonia before I really don’t want any of this to go down into my lungs

you need to call the white house and anybody that will listen

makes sense but might want to find a new doc, she doesnt sound trustworthy

that family should tell them either they change the death certificate or they are getting sued. watch how fast they change it

Talking to a friend in Grosse Pointe, 2 people she knows tested positive

Her nephew tested positive last Monday, he works for Wayne County Jail and felt sick for about 3-4 weeks before he started running a fever Monday

He’s about 25 years old, his wife is starting to show symptoms now and they have a toddler

He’s been quarantined to the basement but obviously he’s been sick at least 4 weeks

His symptoms started as extreme fatigue, like can’t get up and move, then it turned to cough then fever after a few weeks

Her neighbor is 40, he’s a real estate agent, don’t know how or when he got sick

He has been quarantined in his basement also and from what she has learned from them his symptoms aren’t that bad and he feels that he is basically recovered but he is not passed the quarantine timeframe

I think she said they had 25 in beds and 5 had died.
