The positive case numbers maybe, but not the death numbers. I have coworkers who've been to Oakland, macomb and Wayne county hospitals and they have the dead in bags laying in hallways almost stacked on top of 1 another. The crematories and funeral homes can barely keep up.

649 COVID-19 patients being treated at 5 Michigan hospitals

4,387 patients tested negative

2,695 had tested positive for coronavirus

649 hospitalized

So about 20- 25% of 2695 patients tested at HF are in the hospital

No mention on if they are critical or not though


The hospital provided an update to how many patients were hospitalized at which location, as of April 1.

Coronavirus News: Tiger at Bronx Zoo in New York City tests positive for COVID-19


A tiger at New York City's Bronx Zoo has tested positive for COVID-19, the Wildlife Conservation Society said in a statement Sunday.

The tiger, a 4-year-old female Malayan tiger named Nadia, developed a dry cough and a decrease in appetite. She was tested out of an abundance of caution, and the results were confirmed by the USDA's National Veterinary Services Laboratory in Iowa, the society said.

Her sister Azul, two Amur tigers and three African lions also showed coronavirus symptoms, but all of the cats, including Nadia, are expected to recover.

None of the zoo's snow leopards, cheetahs, clouded leopard, Amur leopard, puma or serval are showing any signs of illness.

The zoo said the cats were infected by a person caring for them who was asymptomatically infected with the virus or before that person developed symptoms.

Appropriate preventive measures are now in place for all staff who are caring for them, and the other cats in the four WCS zoos, to prevent further exposure of any other zoo cats

Apparently we can give it to them but humans cannot contracted from tigers

There is also no evidence that animals can infect people with the virus.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act expands Michigan’s benefits to self-employed,1099-independent contractors, and low wage workers as well as an increase in weekly pay to all who receive benefits. The Unemployment Insurance Agency will release guidance regarding eligibility and the application process in the coming days.
