There was a website that had the breakdowns by STATE, and then you would click on your county, and they would give stats of what is going on in each county.

DAMMIT, my computer "hiccupped," and it all went poof!

It was on here about 2 weeks ago, and I had the tab open, but now it's GONE.

Anybody know what site it is? I want to SAVE it this time!

State of Michigan selects alternate COVID-19 care facility in Novi


NOVI, Mich. – The State of Michigan has selected the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi as the site of a second alternate care facility to expand medical capacity during the state’s response to COVID-19. This decision comes days after Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced the state’s first alternate care facility at TCF Center in Detroit.

After conversion, the Suburban Collection Showplace will provide 250,000 sq. ft. and bed space to accommodate up to 1,000 COVID-19 cases.

“This is more good news for Michiganders in our fight against COVID-19,” said Governor Gretchen Whitmer. “Having access to more medical facilities and more space for health care professionals to perform their life saving work means we are more able to slow the spread of COVID-19. Fighting this virus is going to take all of us working together as Michiganders, and I want to thank everyone who has stepped up to volunteer at a health care facility or donate blood, money, or medical supplies. We will get through this.”

“We are uniquely positioned to be able to support this effort and the fight against COVID-19. We feel it is important to serve as a resource to the state and the community in these times of need,” said Blair Bowman, Owner of the Suburban Collection Showplace.
The decision to continue to expand bed space in Southeast Michigan is a proactive measure in anticipation of additional need as the response to COVID-19 continues. The State of Michigan, Department of Health and Human Services and Michigan National Guard partnered with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to assess the site and coordinate federal funding for the expansion.
In addition to TCF Center and the Suburban Collection Showplace, other locations in Michigan are under consideration for future expansion, based on anticipated need.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) said Monday that early responses to the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine “anecdotally” suggest its use in the coronavirus fight has been “effective,” but that official data was still forthcoming.

Asked about the progress of the trials at his daily press briefing, Cuomo noted that state officials have allowed use of the drug in combination with the antibiotic Zithromax in hospitals “at their discretion.” He said the federal government would increase supplies to New York pharmacies, but that New York has imposed a 14-day limit to protect the supplies for people who rely on it to treat other medical conditions.

“The tests in the hospital, they’re too short a period of time to get a scientific report,” Cuomo said. “Hospital administrators, doctors want to have a significant data set before they give a formal opinion. Anecdotally, you’ll get suggestions that it has been effective. But we don’t have any official data yet from a hospital or a quote-unquote study, which will take weeks if not months.”

“There has been anecdotal evidence that it is promising; that’s why we’re going ahead,” he added, noting that some patients have a pre-existing condition or medication regimen that prevents them from taking it.

An increase in the supply from the federal government, Cuomo added, would allow New York to lift the 14-day restriction.

So my local facility is now at half capacity as far as bed count goes. Still haven't seen the mobile morgues show up even though a friend of mine said we were the collection point for our region.

I wish that we had been able to help more people with problems existing beyond the current emergency. Our Rehab people could have done more, our Ortho and our Neuro people could do more. I was welcomed at the door by a member of our Cardiac department because she had nothing better to do!

But we have to empty our hospital to be ready for some influx that we may or not see. A calculus run by people further up on the food chain.

And then we will have to knuckle down under some austerity plan when this is done because our revenue is in the gutter. Waiting.

Sean Hannity is really nailing Cuomo on chloroquine.
