This isn’t exactly new information. doctors in HK Found this well over a month ago. According to them, the drug helps with the symptoms (getting off ventilator) but it is not a “cure.” The drug is one I take every day. It is commonly prescribed for lupus. The only problem though is going to be getting this drug. It is my understanding that it like practically everything else, it comes directly from China or the ingredients are supplied by China.

We don’t “win” anything if we cant actually make or obtain the drug.

No one is saying this is an answer. But this is extremely promising and has all sorts of preliminary data to support it as well.

What should occur is a huge public outcry to run a confirmatory widespread study. The study design is such that it could be completed in 1-2 weeks.

The beautiful aspect of this strategy is that the drugs are already approved, already used widely for decades and easy to mass produce here in America.

Exactly. Doctors in HK have been talking about this for at least a month if not longer. Nobody in the west just “discovered” this.

Not easy to mass produce here if we don’t have the ingredients and we can’t get them outside of China. That’s what nobody’s answered so far is this a drug that we can actually make? Because we don’t make shit.

These drugs are not experimental. They have been in wide use for many years. They are already approved, therefore they can be fast tracked. The malaria medicine is only used like an antibiotic regime. Ten to 14 days is a typical regiment...

One problem with this drug is the toxicity to the retina. It can damage it and cause long-term and irreversible problems esp in older patients (the ones that Corona also targets the most).

People are panicking in the markets. All they look at is the death rate. Once we start using the many ways of attacking the CoVid-19 and the death rate decreases, then there will be less panic and the markets will increase...

The US still has to go through a 2 week or more shutdown for things to get better...

Anybody who makes a Medical Claim that says 100% is 100% guaranteed to be blowing BULLSHIT!!

This info has been floating around for a couple of weeks ... and NOT ONE Doctor has even gotten on YouTube to talk about how successful he was with this treatment with REAL PATIENTS.

Sorry ... in medicine as soon as you see a claim that says 100% cure rate you need to RUN as FAST AS YOU CAN in the OTHER direction.

Whether it's really a cure, it does some to be effective in combating the bad cases.

When faced with imminent collapse of healthcare systems due to overwhelming numbers needing resource-intensive care in ICU's, maybe a sane approach would be to administer that drug to all who reach that level of severity.

If if the drug has complications in some % of cases, a high number of those people are going to DIE if care collapses, and about 25% or more are going to die even if they get care.
