During the end of January, many schools in north and east Texas were closed due the “influenza”. Some closed for a week at a time.

We had a couple days of chills, fever and nasal discharge. It was so mild that we questioned whether we had the flu. There was a little upper respiratory distress that elderberry concentrate fixed. I have some to the cats and dog also. Everyone was sneezing or coughing but the elderberry knocked it out pretty quick. But in Texas, sneezing and coughing is common when one day it 80 degrees and the next could be 20 degrees in the winter.

Maybe more people have had this without knowing. Antibody titres would tell but sounds like they don’t have a good testing methodology in place.

And, as was found in the Chinese trials early on, once therapy is discontinued, the virus can come back, because this isn't a cure, just a stop gap treatment to buy time until one is found.

This was over a month ago by the way. I'm unsure why nobody ever mentions this? Scratch that actually I'm fairly sure it's because so many new eyeballs are on this thing now that's it more public. So people think it's new when it's not.

China was working on their quinine based therapy well over a month ago along with the Vit C treatments. Once stopped, there's no immunity and infection is possible.

So best case scenario you put this in to help some that would otherwise have potential to flood already overwhelmed ICU's. But it's being flouted as a 'cure' when that's anything but the truth.

I suspect this statement will fly over the heads of people reading it. But it's easy enough to understand to the point where I don't see what the confusion is.

Just my 2 cents from Washington: I used to own a chain of Martial Arts schools (my ex still runs them, he bought me out when we split).

I spoke to him yesterday, as well as friends have that very large schools that cant be open in our state right now. They are doing digital classes to give their students stuck at home a chance to stay focused on their goals, “get their wiggles out”, and continue their training, and so far it’s working pretty well. I would look into that if you haven’t already, good way to prevent a bunch of people asking to freeze or cancel payments, while giving parents a breather while their kids are focused on class. Not ideal, but none of this is.

Private school here. Didn’t want that for my kids.
Here’s why:
1). Rich kids suck
2). They have zero real worries and act like it.
3). My kids aren’t rich. I am. They will work during their life. I did.
4). I had no idea how to act/react in the real world.
5). I’m very grateful for the education and caring teachers but it sucked going to a private school and not being part of the club- wasn’t rich at the time.
6). Teach my kids the extra stuff that pub school won’t.
7). They actually get a leg up on being in the very system that’s rigged.
8). They have seen both sides of the same coin, know how to deal with low IQ liberals and conservatives and they know the shortfalls of public policies.
They’re more like spies it seems.

We're in Hunt County. All schools have been closed since spring break and no end in sight. Getting hard to find simple groceries, but they are trickling in to some places in Greenville. I mean we are 10 miles from the nearest town and we're doing ok. My wife and I both are working from home since our offices are encouraging it.

People had flu back around Christmas and New Years in Texas and Oklahoma. Lot of sports players went to China before that and we have nba teams in OKC and San Antonio. Then schools closed in January and maybe first part of February in Texas and Oklahoma.

If you were my family I would tell you to buy all the food you can afford and go out as little as possible.

If you have credit cards max them out for prep supplies.

My town's schools were planning on opening on the 23rd...they haven't notified anyone of this new change as of yet but they'll have to.

Oh well, we're out in the boonies and are stocked up....

That's what I did. I maxed most of mine out.

Most schools in Texas have already been closed, this is just a blanket declaration for any stragglers.

Also all non drive-thru restaurants, bars, gyms to be closed state wide.

It would appear, governments around the world are doing the same
