Bath can help...but NOT COLD.... tepid and let it cool naturally.... No shock to capillary vessels. Constriction will make it worse.

I agree, when I get sick I lay in bed with many blankets on me. When I rest it gets hot but I stay until I cant tolerate it and need fluids.

If it goes over 103 I start tepid compress or if I can stand it take a tepid bath. I always drink plenty of water.

Anyway keep head cool. Take acetaminophen if fever gets above 101. Maybe a little higher. No cold showers. Will drive fever up. Keep hydrated. Gatorade is good.

Maybe in the beginning take a hot bath and then jump into bed and sweat. Again keep head cool.

Calcium has also been known to bring fever down. The body will takes calcium from the bones to keep the blood alkaline. That is one of the roles of the fever.

Remember children can stand a higher fever.

If anyone is throwing up drink black tea. It will help numb the nerves in the stomach so you won’t throw up. Or throw up as much.
