Opened early as there already was a long line. Had enough food donated to feed 300 - 400 people.

I've donated to The Center where this is being held. Almost all money collected goes to help homeless teens. The Center is a work & housing resource.

HAPPENING NOW: A food drive at the LGBTQ Center has opened early due to demand.
They were supposed to open at 11, but they're handing out food now.
Equality NV Director Chris Davin says they have enough for 3-400 people, and will distribute until supplies run out.@KTNV

Kroeger (Smiths') grocery store chain is actively looking to hire those who can restock shelves. Ditto 99 Cent Stores, Sams' Club, Costco, Walmart.

Delivery services through Instacart have high demand right now.

Lots of help wanted ads on Craigslist Vegas or you can place your own ad for free. Maids are still needed and pay almost $20 an hour for individual homeowners.

Lots of seniors need home health aids or assistance getting to doctors' appointments. Some offer live-in opportunities.


Amazon's still employing drivers to deliver food through Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods. They also hire shoppers to assemble the food in paper bags.

Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods delivery are extremely busy, overwhelmed. You can get across the entire city in 30 minutes so there's a minimum of actual driving.

Policy is to leave the food at buyer's doorstep. They can track the exact delivery time online.

Most restaurants and fast-food places (Del Taco) also deliver food and it's still cheap to buy it.


Vegas is one of Amazon's 4 major distribution centers. They've already announced they need to hire 100,000 more people ASAP. Even giving out raises. W

Most hospitality workers won't be taking those jobs I listed.
They don't include meals, benefits, and uniforms. Unemployment will cover most, and they are expecting to go back to work very soon.

There are lots of new faces at the grocery stores according to another online site for Vegas' residents, and they're not former casino employees either.
