I got laid off last Monday. I started building 2’x8’x14” raised garden beds. Bought the soil and plants and now have 4 awesome planters going...in about two weeks I’ll have lettuce ready. 6 weeks and more stuff will be ready. I gonna keeps building the planters one per day.

sorry about your job, but great work on getting prepared and self sustainable.

what else are you planning on growing?

Planted so far:
Tomatoes
Kale
Lots of lettuce
Cumbers
Squash, beans, corn
Melons
Bell peppers
Basil
Mint
I have a ton of Australian pepper trees growing and lots of free range peafowl around...the raised plante4s are like fortresses with chicken wire to keep the rabbits and peafowl out.
