Let caution be your guide.....the last thing you need is food poisoning during a pandemic.....I have older canned goods and put them aside as a backup if thing get that dire.....

On that note tho, I've eaten spam from my Y2k stash without ill effect (before pandemic).....white rice from that stash was also fine....

I even sprouted old seeds from 2007.....so the old stuff may not be all bad even tho its not peak condition.....

He's careful picking out the good ones, swelled cans are no no. He eats the ones he thinks are good.
