Why hasn't the UK been locked down yet?

Coz our gov think they can stupidly beat it

The government has just been drip-feeding the changes through to avoid panic and the overwhelming of the nhs. Lockdown will probably arrive this week.

Isn't it funny, that when everybody was told if you think you have it, to stay off work, half the fucking country phoned in ill?

Lying bastards. They're the ones raiding the supermarkets, when they're supposed to be staying in! What makes office staff so special that they can have this time at home?

I think they will gradually shut everything left open this week.

Schools shut now, Costa and McDonalds closing all shops today, will be followed by all other takeaways. All pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes are shut.

All parks will be closed this week if they haven't already.

At some point they will issue shopping slots for the store vists and scan and pay everything on your phone. You can already do that in Waitrose.

Anybody else get the feeling that this virus could be a cover for something else entirely?

This is the main headline in the telegraph right now, so expect a full lockdown this week.

It's because we are a free country and Boris will only lock us down if people to not abide by the rules. He said, he didn't want to order us to lock down if he can help it, he hopes we will do it ourselves and stick to the advice.

That said we are very close to a lock down. Police will have the power soon to keep people at a distance of 2 meters or more if they don't do it themselves.

Did you know the Police were granted powers last week to detain you if they suspect you have the virus? That means if you had, say, a tickly-cough on the street, and a copper saw you, they can grab you, and take you away...

I've thought it is to bring in a debt jubilee, or at the very least inflate it all away through "quantitative easing" on a scale never seen before. The virus would then be blamed and not the bankers/politicians.

They will also bring in tracking of everyone's movements via their mobile phone (you will only be allowed in certain zones to protect the elites/rich), maybe forced vaccines, chipping too.

The Earth's magnetic field is failing so the future economy will be people being inside most of the time, or dying from skin cancer. Could be why they want to melanise the race with migrants, as this protects from skin cancer somewhat.

People in normal jobs will soon start walking off the job, if these 'self-isolators' keep taking the piss. One rule for lazy office workers, and another for everybody else.

It's a fact that nearly everybody just isn't coming down with it. Where are distraught relatives of victims on the news, internet, etc., to tell their stories? Nowhere to be found...

See, the thing is, all the self-isolators aren't staying in at all. They're just using it as an excuse to live it up, as they know they'll get paid for it. Just the same as the ones who are skiving off work because a family member coughed a couple of times.

Apparently we have 250 ish people dead, so why are we shutting down the country.
It doesn't make sense.

It's gonna take a good year to get straight from this, and some businesses won't re open at all.

This is more serious than most people think.

If everyone stays at home for 3 months, no work , nothing is made or sold. No one earns any money. Bills don't get paid, the whole economy stops. This is not a temporary pause in the economy and supply chain. It will not recover.

I understand the virus is real , but its either more serious than everyone is being told, Or the virus is being used as a smokescreen for something else ?
And i honestly don't know what that something else could be ?

Watch people in the UK start to jack their jobs in. They'll start to think they're being forced to gather in groups at work, when the government is telling people not to, and with businesses, banks etc., shutting down, nobody can chase them for bills.

Re the economy, if all industrial nations are on a par does it matter? Money/perceived value is all relative and would equal out accordingly. If your house value fell by 50% you might feel 'poorer' but are you really?
