Re: Why hasn't the UK been locked down yet?
This is more serious than most people think.

If everyone stays at home for 3 months, no work , nothing is made or sold. No one earns any money. Bills don't get paid, the whole economy stops. This is not a temporary pause in the economy and supply chain. It will not recover.

I understand the virus is real , but its either more serious than everyone is being told, Or the virus is being used as a smokescreen for something else ?
And i honestly don't know what that something else could be ?

Check the Q posts mate. It says that the virus is actually a worldwide cover for a massive military operation to grab the top-level/celebrity paedos, bankers, dismantle the corrupt banking systems, and hand power back to the people. Trump's Presidency is apparently not a Presidency at all. He was put in there by the good guys to orchestrate it all. When he says he's at war with the virus, it's not the Coronavirus he's talking about...

Re the economy, if all industrial nations are on a par does it matter? Money/perceived value is all relative and would equal out accordingly. If your house value fell by 50% you might feel 'poorer' but are you really?

The last supper...

"An update from McDonald’s UK and Ireland – See you soon
I am incredibly grateful to our brilliant employees who have been working hard to continue to serve you safely in difficult circumstances.

Over the last 24 hours, it has become clear that maintaining safe social distancing whilst operating busy takeaway and Drive Thru restaurants is increasingly difficult and therefore we have taken the decision to close every restaurant in the UK and Ireland by 7pm on Monday 23rd March

Yeah i can see people jacking their jobs in, and others just racking up debt on credit cards.

Crazy. I never thought i would ever see this

They're doing it big-time in America, because they don't think they have anything to lose. If people chase them for money, they'll just be told to fuck off. If places like London are told not to work, everybody else will get the hump that they still have to.

Exactly, the problem would be if the UK was in this situation in isolation but we are not. The whole world faces the same reset so provided the lockdown contains the outbreak things could pick up in six months, and so long as people have a roof over their heads and aren't starving all should be well

I know as i have been laid off. I work in defence IT as a contractor. No one is hiring . Not even NATO . In about 8 weeks i will be unable to pay rent or bills for myself and my family . And the GOVs 'package of support measures' does not cover me in the slightest ..

Sorry to hear and I see your predicament, i'm retired and my wife still works for the NHS so we should be able to weather the storm. All I can say is take as many payment holidays as you can for any repayments Etc. This wont last for ever and at the moment utility companies wont be allowed to disconnect anyone for non payment.

Hope this works out for all of us

I just think the government have just got to re open everything by the end of may ( not sure why i think that).

Otherwise we are just gonna see major problems with looting and riots.

Lockdowns and idleness arn't good, added to the money running out

The Universal Credit thing isn't as bad as they say. They are relaxing everything. I can see self employed being allowed to claim from Day 1 soon. The interview was just 2mins on the phone, all future interviews suspended, all demands to do anything suspended.

The Housing Benefit element will cover some or all of the rent.

If there are signs of looting I suspect the army will be deployed to preserve the food stores (if the stores are still operating, I feel sorry for the cashiers and checkout people) The country will keep printing money and the pay back occurs later.

What would you do to reset the system?

Wipe out all consumer debt

Make all mortgages 0%, people pay what they want, bank (of england) gets money back on any future sale, homeowner or estate of the dead get equity (if any)

Block All Evictions, either benefits or people pay rent capped to maximum of income

Double any positive credit bank balances so savers etc don't feel fucked in the ass so much
