It needs to be, but dang- it should not be, why can't people follow the rules and act right?? Quoting: girlie45 [link to www.theadvocate.com (secure)] Well it looks like other states are closing us off. My Mom just said TX is closing off to us. I’m going to look for links when I get home We are getting a lot of imported cases into East Texas and Harris county/Houston from Louisiana. We love y’all but dayumn. Quite the opposite. During their Spring Break - Mid March, nearly every car getting gas at Costco was from Texas. I am from there so I know the car dealerships, at least 2 near me were from that area. It's highly probable that they got it during their visit. |

User ID: 76604177 United States 04/03/2020 12:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Update on Covid testing - quarantine in my family- Mom ( went to Lake) - seems as if she dodged a bullet. April 9th will be 14 days, so fingers crossed. Sister's Mother in law - negative. Sister in law- still in quarantine, working it for all it's worth, I am thinking this was just a ruse to get off of work. Sister- ( who was not a concern)- just tested, has been complaining about feeling poorly after colonoscopy on the 16th in New Iberia, La. -- yes, I know it should have not been done!!! She began to feel icky on the 19th of March. Her symptoms were-- ( just in case anyone wants to know) horrible headache, and sinus pressure-- with an earache. This came and went. On a few days, she just said: "it's really bad allergies, and was chipper and upbeat". She always had a little nagging cough, and called on Monday ( 30th) seeming concerned. I told her to get tested. She called yesterday, and it was apparent she is very sick. She could barely speak without coughing. She was incredibly hoarse. She described it as a very bad asthma attack. I told her to go to the ER if it continued. She thought she should stay home b/c she has no fever. She's a voluptuous lady and has some underlying health conditions, so I am stressed. I tried to call her today, and no answer. I am very concerned. If everyone could please send her good vibes and prayers, I would appreciate it. She's my rock, and my only good sis, the other one is not right in the head. LOL. Last Edited by girlie45 on 04/03/2020 12:20 PM |

I will say a prayer for your sister and hope that she feels better soon! I was scheduled to do a colonoscopy last month as well, but I cancelled it. Too bad her doctor went forward with hers. Dorignac's Food Center, located at 710 Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie, will close at 8 p.m. on Friday and will not re-open until April 13. The announcement of the nine-day closure was made after a worker contracted COVID-19, according to WWL-TV. |

Is it because they have to quarantine if they have traveled somewhere and are now returning home? Or is it something more nefarious? Thanks for sharing Gemini Rising. |

Okay here's some additional explanation about the personal housing units (PHU). Still not clear whether this is a voluntary isolation or what. The Personal Housing Units are for symptomatic individuals coming from hospital emergency departments with COVID-19 tests pending and require isolation until test results are reported. <snip> “It’s also not a shelter. Think of this as another wing of a hospital. Patients are going to go in through the ER just like they normally would, and on the back-end, if the hospital feels they are appropriate for this setting, they’ll be transferred here.” [link to www.fox8live.com (secure)] |

The state Department of Health on Saturday said more than 12,400 have tested positive for the virus, an increase of roughly 2,200 cases from the day before. The death toll in the state from COVID-19 stood at 409 people. |
