User ID: 76604177 United States 03/26/2020 11:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Mom has COPD. Said she was feeling bad for the last several days, and said she could not breathe! so I tried to do teledoc, and again that crap does not work. So I hauled her to the ER at the Lake. Quoting: girlie45 It was nuts. I had to leave her, and give them my number, and then she admitted to another relative that she just "wanted to get out". I guess she thought I would take her to a doctor visit. Anyway, she threw a fit, and I had to speak to a social worker. Mom has bi-polar, so this kind of stuff is normal for her. I have no idea if they tested her for covid. So I had to put her in quarantine in a local nearby hotel. I know it's kinda crazy, but the social worker and nurses suggested it since the hospital is a hot zone of sorts. I am so over this. Awww...I am sure you did the right thing. Praying for your mom. Thank you. She's a handful...:) |

I also noticed a ton of Entergy trucks parked at Costco on Thursday. At least 15 or so. Highly unusual-- I only see stuff like this when a hurricane is in the Gulf. |

I am also seeing a lot of Cox, At&T, Entergy, and Atmos vehicles around here. My first thought was that they are taking advantage of the lack of traffic to do some maintenance, but there are just too many of them for that to be true. Jefferson Parish vehicles from various departments are also everywhere this week. |

I know a few people still waiting. It is frustrating. I found out about 3 people this week at work who couldn't qualify for a test. 2 of the 3 had close contact with someone who tested positive. We've had one positive test come back at work, and it took a week (or it took a week for our workplace to let us know it came back positive). They did NOT test everyone who worked closely with this individual at work. I was not one of them, but I personally know people who did work closely with him right up until the time he got sick. |
